Christian Lacroix a passé son enfance en allant jouer dans les ruines de l'abbaye de Montmajour avec les gamins du pays. En 2013, il a été invité à s'emparer de cette magnifique abbaye pour l'habiter avec d'autres artistes… dont il a distribué les œuvres en redessinant l'espace.

Dans le déambulatoire éclairé par des meurtrières, les coupes translucides de Robert Wilson, alignées sur le bois brut.....

Christian Lacroix spent his childhood by going to play in the ruins of the Abbey of Montmajour with the kids of the country. In 2013, he was invited to seize this magnificent abbey to live in it with other artists whose works he distributed by redrawing the space.

Ce paysage chaotique m’hypnotisait

Comme si je l’avais toujours connu,

Mais, pourtant, jamais vu.

Il était ni beau ou charmant,

Ni laid ou terrifiant

Plutôt terriblement inhumain,

Antérieur à la vie elle-même,

Dont on voyait des traces éparses

Accrochées aux rugosités des rochers.

Je pouvais le voir, le toucher, le ressentir sous mes pieds

Sentir l’air salin

Regarder danser des nuages improbables

Entendre les chants de la Terre

Jouer les harmoniques élémentaires.

Et pourtant, je ne trouvais pas les mots

Pour expliquer l’attirance étrange que ce paysage avait sur moi.

Un peu comme un savoir qui se cherche

Dans des origines impénétrables, lointaines et indicibles,

This chaotic landscape hypnotized me

As if I had always known it,

But, yet, never seen.

It was neither beautiful or charming,

Neither ugly or terrifying

Rather terribly inhuman,

Anterior to life itself,

Of which we saw scattered traces

Clinging to the roughness of the rocks.

I could see it, touch it, feel it under my feet

Smell the salty air

Watch unlikely clouds dance

Hear the songs of the Earth

Play the elementary harmonics.

And yet I couldn't find the words

To explain the strange attraction that this landscape had on me.

A bit like a knowledge that seeks itself

In impenetrable, distant and unspeakable origins,

Of which we bear traces.

The storm was approaching, threatening

And mystery enveloped me.

LE VOYAGE FABULEUX

L’homme, dans le petit bateau, aimait raconter qu’il traversait l’Univers, à chaque fois qu’il prenait le large sur le grand fleuve, par un ciel étoilé. Comme si, l’Univers lui-même, était contenu dans son microcosme.

Le merveilleux lui suffisait, ici même… parfois avec un télescope pointé vers le ciel. Il avait conscience de la vastitude du monde et notre fragilité immense. Il se savait un homme chanceux de parcourir ce monde chatoyant, et il acceptait, avec modestie, la part de mystère qui lui était caché.

Traverser l’univers, disait-il, c’est un voyage enchanté qui commence en soi et se poursuit ici avec le chant des baleines, des bélugas, des oiseaux de mer… et les battements du coeur de la mer, de sa Terre. Ce soir là, en revenant au port, il fit jouer la chanson Across the Universe* sur son modeste lecteur audio, en souhaitant que rien ne change dans son monde. * (Beatles- John Lennon)

THE FABULOUS JOURNEY

Petit Ours était très heureux de voir la neige à Whistler . Il n'avait pas froid puisqu'il a un bon manteau de poils ( naturel). Un vrai plaisir d'aller jouer avec la neige !

Une petite fille très heureuse de jouer dans une flaque d'eau de pluie avec ses bottes en plastique, devant ses parents, dans les rues piétonnes de Lisbonne.

NE CESSONS JAMAIS DE JOUER

Deux petits voiliers glissaient sur la surface du Fjord, sans bruit, dansant ensemble comme s’ils voulaient offrir un hommage aux vents de notre Terre. Les deux équipages jouaient comme des enfants à s’entrecroiser, à virer de bord comme des papillons, à se défier de vitesse et d’adresse. Ils ne se doutaient pas que, moi aussi, le photographe debout sur la falaise qui surplombait la scène, j’avais aussi envie de jouer avec eux… à ma façon. De cette photo, naquis cette image : NE CESSONS JAMAIS DE JOUER !

NEVER STOP PLAYING

Two small sailboats glided silently across the surface of the Fjord, dancing together as if they wanted to pay homage to the winds of our Earth. The two crews played like children with each other, tacking like butterflies, challenging each other in speed and skill. They had no idea that I too, the photographer standing on the cliff overlooking the Fjord, wanted to play with them too… in my own way. From this photo, spring the thought : NEVER STOP PLAYING !

Les premières fois ont été prudentes de part et d'autre mais il semble s'être habitué à ma présence et s'approche de plus en plus près et se montre même joueur en allant de poteau en poteau, s'éloignant, se rapprochant ... Un vrai plaisir de jouer avec lui et de le photographier ♡♡♡

Voici quelques images de ce qui me semble être la fille de Sophie et qui semble jouer au Tanguay et coller dans le territoire de maman jusqu'à la fin de la saison... C'est la dernière journée que j'ai observé et entendu cette jeune femelle qui c'est fait une joie d'utiliser la perche de prédilection de sa mère qui semble avoir quitté pour le sud une semaine plus tôt qu'elle.

Ce sont des images captées en toute fin d'après-midi avec un érable jaune au loin en Bokeh. J'aurais bien voulu avoir la chance de prendre plus que 4 prises et à f8 et plus mais elle était très nerveuse et ça marque la fin de ma saison pour les Martins pêcheur d'Amérique... À moins que...

Here are some pictures of what seems to me to be Sophia daughter and who seems to play Tanguay and sticking in mother's territory... It was the last day that I observed and heard this young female whas having a ball using her mother's favorite perch that seems to have left for the south a week earlier.

These are images captured at the very end of the afternoon with a yellow maple in the distance as Bokeh. I wish I had the chance to take more than 4 shots at here and f-8 and more for sharpness but she was very nervous and those images marks the end of my season for the Belted Kingfisher for 2020... Unless...

Il y a de l'eau, mais brunie par l'orage récent. L'écoulement sinon serait bien plus avare en cette saison.

Si le massif des Monges qui culmine à 2115 mètres relève plutôt de la moyenne montagne, c'est une région au relief tourmenté, dont le climat possède des caractéristiques difficiles tenant du climat méditerranéen (sécheresse, pluies irrégulières et violentes) et du climat montagnard (froid et neige l’hiver), et parcourue de torrents violents.

Le chaînon des Monges, avec la crête du Clot des Martres qui relie le sommet des Monges à la montagne de Jouère, est visible dès l'entrée dans le département des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence par les voies du sud venant d'Aix-en-Provence et semble dominer la vallée de la Durance.

Je suis né ici, face à cette mer toujours incertaine

Mon père et mon arrière-grand-père aussi

Des aventuriers de contes épiques,

dont les ancêtres étaient venus de loin pour s’inventer un pays tout aussi incertain.

Moi, je suis poète. Mais c’est pareil… un zeste aventurier.

Je reviens ici de temps à autre

Pour mieux entendre les battements de mon coeur…

…s’emballer lorsqu’un poisson récalcitrant mord à ma ligne…

Et entendre Paul, un ami de jeunesse resté ici, se moquer de moi en me regardant paniquer, comme il le faisait autrefois. Il y a des choses qu’on ne veut pas voir changer…

…Comme notre vieille école qui lutte pour conserver une illusoire jeunesse.

Je reviens ici de temps à autre

Pour mieux entendre les battements de mon coeur…

…se briser en voyant le vide laissé par la disparition de l’Hôtel Central et de son propriétaire. Monsieur Smith, toujours souriant, me laissait jouer de la contrebasse, debout sur une chaise dans la salle de bal. J’étais trop petit…

…s’accélérer comme une tornade en retrouvant les gravures de mon nom et de celui de Jeanne, unies par un coeur, cachées sur le mur arrière du vieux hangar de pêche rouge, face à la mer. C’était notre secret.

Ce vieux hangar était alors pour moi, le centre du monde!

Il l’est resté.

This old shed was then for me the center of the world!

Maya dort tout l'après-midi, elle doit récupérer car elle est très active une partie de la nuit et surtout les matins. Elle me suit partout et attend que je joue avec elle. Elle apprécie particulièrement les longs rubans, les ficelles.

Difficile de pouvoir faire quelque chose sans elle le matin

donc ;-)

Impossible d'utiliser l'ordinateur car elle marche sur le clavier, si j'écris elle ronge le stylo .... Je pense qu'elle va bientôt se calmer en prenant de l'âge.

Maya sleeps all afternoon, she needs to recover because she is very active part of the night and especially in the mornings. She follows me everywhere and waits for me to play with her. She particularly appreciates long ribbons and strings.

Hard to be able to do anything without her in the morning

Lors de la construction du canal de Provence dans les années 70, certaines structures ont été prévues pour accueillir les ponts permettant le passage d'une future autoroute qui rejoindrait les Alpes. Ainsi cette construction en attente est restée (de mémoire) une bonne vingtaine d'années avant de pouvoir jouer son rôle. C'est le cas à présent et il n'y a plus d'accès possible à cet endroit qui est réservé au personnel autorisé.

During the construction of the Canal de Provence in the 1970s, certain structures were planned to accommodate the bridges allowing the passage of a future motorway which will join the Alps. Thus this construction in waiting remained (from memory) a good twenty years before being able to play its role. This is the case now and there is no longer possible access to this place which is reserved for authorized personnel.

Mon chat Happy adore jouer à cache-cache quand je change les draps (et j'adore ça aussi ... pas changer les draps mais jouer avec lui 😉). My sweet cat Happy loves to play hide and seek when I change the bed sheets (and I love that too !).

J'ai commencé il y a quelques temps un album sur la gare des Guillemins colorée par Daniel Buren en cours de préparation, voilà une série de photos avec le travail terminé, j'espère ne pas vous lasser car je me suis bien amusé à jouer avec les lignes, les courbes et surtout dans ce cas les couleurs.
