The ISEE team has spent the day exploring the desert surface of MOA-2010-BLG-328L b, a super earth orbiting a star by the same name. This MOA has an orbital period of 972 days which means its summer season is equal to a full year on earth. Because of its size a full day equals approximately 4.267 times a standard day on earth. Needless to say they are ready for this day to end.

I placed this figure at a height of about 8’ off the ground. A #minifigure is about 1.5” tall; 8’ is 96”. If a 1.5” minifigure were scaled to 6’ tall it is equivalent to a 384’ off the ground.🤔😅

I’ve always found great wonder in the movie Spirited Away. Especially the No Face character Kaonashi. Some sort of spirit that amplifies the desires of the heart; and wanting something greater. The tranquility of a quiet and peaceful life full of the small things that give life meaning.

When I was setting up this shot there was a fat little bee that was bright yellow that kept swooping in; apparently I had placed Kaonashi near a hole at the base of the figure that was the bees home. It landed then crawled quickly into the ground. I did a bit of research and these are solitary digger bees that are common in Arizona and fitting for this shot. I only captured a blurry shot of the bee as I was shooting manual focus. I posted it on IG along with a stereoscopic version of this shot that really pops!

Tactical tree climbing is a thing, a beautiful thing. Please do not bring a ladder. I do not need help. I am fine and perfectly capable to climb this tree. I, in fact, climbed up here in a very sudden and spur of the moment way. I used my retractable claws, the same ones I use on the carpet in front of the authorities bedroom door.

Do not attempt to save me from this adventure. This would be detrimental and disparaging to my self grandiose poise.

Again, that ladder is offensive to me; I will not come closer, I will not submit to be carried by the authorities like a common criminal. I will continue to meow profusely to annoy the birds that usually occupy this space. It is comforting that they are still so terrified of me.

Got this figure from Minifigure.com. Such a cool detailed rendition of Ebenezer Scrooge. The book even has the front page in tiny but legible print. I purchased my wife a remake of the original Christmas Carol book with a red cover last year and it worked perfectly here as a base.

So my kiddos were out in the backyard and found what they though was a dead lizard in a toy bin that collected a lot of rain water. My boy came in with this T-Rex saying a dead lizard was on it; they had poked it to make sure. I stopped him just as he was throwing it in the trash bin. I looked closer and the lizards eye opened. Apparently he was too cold to move, and had latched himself to the head of T-Rex. I placed him in another bin with a warming lamp. I got a few shots because when does this ever happen? After about 30min my daughter reached in to pet the lizard and it bolted as she let out a multitude of shrieks. I let the lizard go on our wall and he scrambled off... fun stuffs!

It rained most the week; the clouds rolled in Monday and had a few cloudbursts. Tuesday clouded up more. Wednesday and Thursday rained cats and dogs. I’m telling you - there is nothing quite like a desert rainstorm. We were on the freeway during one downpour that dropped so much water it was a literal wall. The freeway traffic slowed to 25mph as the visibility was so low. I’m talking rain that blues your windshield even when the wipers are on full blast. Rain that causes reservoirs to form at all the local parks/retention basins. Flash flooding 1-2” of rain in like a 20 min burst.

Our back cinderblock wall was soaked clear through. Friday morning was blue sky and the sun rose and it’s rays hit that wall. I’ve never seen such an interesting phenomenon. The wall was literally smoking as the saturated bricks steamed in the warmth. I raced outside with my camera and some figures. I took a lot of photos with the steam but I really liked the lens flare in this one. I’ll probably post the others sometime.😎👍

I purchased this Leviathan figure from Fortnite made by Jazwares. I am very impressed by the quality of the figure - and it’s super poseable with 40 point of articulation!

We went to the riparian preserve in Gilbert, AZ over the weekend and I snapped this shot with the vintage Helios 44-2. I’ve been using the lensbaby Twist 60 quite often but I just love the look of the Helios. It really cannot be replicated. It’s just got so much character in the blur.
