This new Bee Keeper minifigure is awesome! I love how the visor has a texture to it which makes it look like a mesh. They really didn’t a good job on the detail and design!

Under a desert shrub off the road in north Scottsdale while racing to appointments.
I love the brilliant bright colors of cactus flowers! Had to get a quick snap—and obviously had to include a minifigure.
I found a vertical sculpture in Scottsdale, AZ. I used a bit of chewed gum to attach this little spaceman to the surface. 👍
Took this shot out near a dumpster at work. Our building is surrounded by alfalfa fields and the irrigation water pools in this spot. Makes for some great reflections and water shots.👍
I used the Lensbaby Sol 45 to achieve the blur and the bokeh artifacts - I like the results of this lens but still need to test it out more. Lensbaby sent me a copy to try and see if I like it because they liked my shots done with their Twist 60 lens. So far so good!

The I-40 bypassed many towns and small rural communities that were dependent on the traffic of Route 66 as the lifeblood of the tourism economies. It was such a cool spot to explore.
Some of my favorite Lego minifigures these robots from the Vidiyo line. The line didn’t last too long, but had so many cool prints designs and figures.
Just did a test run of the Fujifilm X-E4. So far I am really enjoying it! I love the built in film filters. This was shot at noon in bright sunlight. It’s a detail of a giant phonograph sculpture that I stumbled upon in Scottsdale. They really do have some strange sculptures throughout the city.😀👍
I was mesmerized by the detail in these clouds and snapped this photo before I saw the birds riding the current up… what a beautiful world we get to enjoy. I always stop for the photo op.
Ralph was certain this year he would easily win the contest at the fair… the only problem was how to transport this beast of a carrot!?

The last warm glows of sun reached far into the underbelly of the city but would quickly dissipate into the musty cold that smelled of dirt and rust… to him it was the smell of home; at least since his family was taken by aliens. 👽
In celestial mechanics when a smaller moon or object approaches a larger star or planet it enters tidal forces of gravity eventually leading to the Roche limit where the smaller object loses its gravity and is torn apart. This doesn’t happen to small objects that are connected well like an astronaut per se. It is still important to know one’s trajectory though.
I am on a work trip and shot this in my hotel this morning. The ceiling light looked like the burning edge of an Orange Giant or at least spacey enough for this awesome shot!

Stuck in line at Hyperspace Mountain last night was a real drag - my feet were like bricks from walking for 16hrs… this little figure helped me switch my focus at 11:45pm to a creative endeavor and helped endure the last 30min of wait time…👌
Found this great 23 year old toy at a used book store today. It was still in its original packaging. I’m not one for collecting and keeping in the box. My toys don’t stay “pristine”. They get dusty and grimy with food and all sorts of dirt and things on my many adventures.
I am grateful for old growth trees that are easily a hundred years old and are thicker than 7 feet at the base - the exact backdrop for this shot!
The redrock walls caught the warmth of the sun and bathed the cave in a perpetual golden hour… this was the spot he had been looking for; perfect to setup camp.
I had a bit of time while my son was at a meeting. I drove around the neighborhoods of Apache Junction and found many of these somewhat picturesque “yard cars” that were parked on the front lawns of folks homes. There was a lot more than I expected!

My original shot was taken under a palo verde tree in some green mossy grass located in the Sonoran desert of the Superstition mountain foothills. I took this shot near where I took the previous landscape shot.
It’s surprising how green and lively the Sonoran desert get in winter and spring. From far away it looks dry and dead but up close it’s as alive as the rain forests in South America.

This is the Route 66 Diner in Albuquerque, NM. I’m traveling for work and I booked a room at the motel 6. Boy was that a mistake. I got there to check in about 5pm and the receptionist told me all they had was smoking rooms. I don’t smoke. She said all the non-smoking rooms she had left had no heater or tv… so I asked her for one of those. She put a key card in the magnet encoder and gave it to me. I got to the room and the card reader wouldn’t work. So I went back to the office and she “fixed” it. Still didn’t work. So she gave me another key card. This one also did not work. It happened about four times and then she came with her master key which also did not work. There were tweakers everywhere. I canceled the reservation and found a better one. Today after my conference I drove Route 66 from one side to the other of town and captured some night shots. It was fun!
Parowan, a town in southern Utah, USA, gets its name from a Paiute word meaning "Evil Waters". It is said that there was an Indian maiden that was eaten by some sort of monster in the nearby landlocked Little Salt Lake. There are also petroglyphs near the valley that depict some sort of serpent monster.

This particular shot was a complete accident - I was entirely focused on getting a particular lens flare from the setting sun. That wavy outline and shadow just behind Lenny is a live and well Mohave #Rattlesnake slithering past in the background. It was literally four feet from me!😳 🐍 You can see his #rattle glowing at the far left side. There was no rattling, just a slight brushing sound. I quickly and quietly tried to get a picture of the snake but only got his rattle. I took some other shots visible in my story or on G+ (Joecow Lego).
