One from the archives, taken in July 2001 during a visit to the Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory at La Palma. Shown here are the 1-metre Jacobus Kapteyn Telescope (centre) and down the hill at lower right is the 2.5-metre Isaac Newton Telescope.
Some atmospheric airglow is visible in the sky. Most of the bright stars of the Plough asterism are visible at upper left.
This was shot on Kodak Elitechrome 200 ISO slide film and then digitally scanned. Nikon FM2 SLR and Nikon 28mm lens. Single 20-minute exposure.

YN17 OJF is a Scania K410EB6/Irizar i6 new to City Circle, Hayes in April 2017 as their number 136. It is now operating for JKT of Wallsall.
PK-MVH Vicker V952 Merchantman Merpati Nusantara Airlines. Ex Air Canada and Europe Aero Service. Operated final Vanguard pax-svc in Indonesia JKT-MES-JKT 10.87. Brought back by EAS for spares (slide scan from my collection - not taken by myself).
Here's a snapshot of the Farnborough Airshow shuttle buses (plus a couple of visiting coaches) taken today (22/07/22). As in previous years, Go-Ahead provide the buses for the Queens Parade car park and Stagecoach runout to Farnborough (Main), Farnborough North, North Camp and Aldershot railway stations. Some Go-Ahead stuff comes in from the London area on routes such as the 806.
It's always a good day out watching the coaches arrive at Wembley, especially when the less regular teams from outside the London area play.
If you haven't been since Covid then you'll be in for a shock! The new Pink and Green dedicated coach parks are almost entirely undercover which makes photography a challenge. Nevertheless, decent shots can still be obtained with good planning.
Here's a reminder of some of the visitors to Wembley Stadium seen in 2022.
In late May 2022 I called into Wembley to catch the last 90 mins of arrivals to the League Two Play-off Final between Mansfield Town and Port Vale. Yet again there was a nice variety of coaches present including a good crop of Sunsundegui Sideral coaches. The Valiants ran out 3-0 winners.

New to City Circle, Hayes
JKT's newest addition to the fleet, Irizar i6s Efficient MY23 JKT is seen parked in their Walsall yard. It's 11 of only 30 Treinta Limited Edition Irizars to be made, celebrating 30 years of the Spanish bodybuilder's partnership with Scania, built to a very high specification and notably using camera mirrors.
