I used the Walking pose by Gravity Poses - from the Herselfie gacha collection (phones included) available at the 4 Seasons event from 8th Jan.

Damn, how I miss my buddy.

Waiting for the toy

Jive is getting older, he has troubles walking. 12,5 years of loyalty and friendship.

Found a flock of these noisy Parrots enjoying the morning sunshine.

The wild parrots flying free in Southern California today are descendants of wild-caught parrots who were imported into the United States before importation was banned and somehow either escaped or were released intentionally.

These birds were already well versed in their survival skills and able to establish themselves in areas where exotic plant-life is plentiful.

Wild parrots have been documented in Southern California since the 1960s and there is strong evidence to suggest there may have been wild parrots as far back as the 1940s. One thing is certain -- several events have contributed to the status and distribution of wild parrots in California today.

With their personal origins a mystery, these naturalized parrots have banded together to make the skies over Southern California their flyways, the wires their playgrounds and the trees their homes. Steadily increasing in numbers with the passing of each spring, the successful adaptation to the urban environment by these pioneering parrots gives testimony to a promising future.

Going to the well again

Me and Herb were playing on the deck.

I had the ball, and he wanted the ball 🎾

He’s 14 weeks old today!

This was number 44 in my 1 to 100 project. I went back into my archives for many of the photos and this one was taken in 2012.

A female Bald Headed Eagle stretching her beak out. Such a big old bird. Next to other eagles she is noticeably rough looking and massive in comparison.

I really need to give her a proper name though since she visits the same tree for a pit stop quite a bit.

Yesterday I had to take the decision to let Jive go, all of his joints where hurting and life was no good thing anymore. I lost my biggest friend.

Give Jive a stick and the world is good.

Amazon Adam & Eve are doin' the Jive!

They had no interest in becoming Flickr Famous!

NIccy and went out for a Sunday drive (on a Sunday no less!) and wound up taking a trip down South to Madera Canyon. We'd never been there, it was a freebie with my America The Beautiful Vets Pass, and they had several picnic areas! A win-win all the way around.

From all that I've read and been told Madera is a Mecca of sorts for folks that are birders. Supposedly there's hundreds of different species that like to hang out here at different times of the year.

We were walking down one of the many trails when these ladies (now I'm assuming they're ladies, didn't ask them for their pronouns) made their presence known. They were on the move, looking for some tasty morsels and had no desire to pose for the camera.

This is one of those "Oh crap, something I should shoot" moments, the ones where you're not expecting anything and up pops something. I definitely wasn't ready and neither were they, hence the picture you see here.

Created for the Hypothetical Awards' "HAND JIVE" mini-challenge.

Tacoma's favorite children L.A. Lungs illuminated the legendary Bob's Java Jive in their hometown on Saturday, January 12th, 2008. Follow the will-o-the-wisps, just don't drink the coffee.

Another great night at La Fontaine. This night with "Live Jive Jungle", another version of the Jan Harbeck Quartet.

Inspired by Gene Krupa‘s drumming, the music is high-energy, jungle-jazz with emphasis on interplay and fiery solos.

Line-up: Jan Harbeck (ts), Jeppe Skovbakke (b), Thor Madsen (g), Peter Leth (dr).

I swear these dinosaur birds will outlast us all, take over our ruins after we’re long gone.

I love coffee, I love tea

I love the java jive and it loves me

Coffee and tea and the java and me

A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup (boy!)…

Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, the seeds of berries from certain Coffea species.

When coffee berries turn from green to bright red in colour – indicating ripeness – they are picked, processed, and dried.

Dried coffee seeds (referred to as "beans") are roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavour.

The two most commonly grown coffee bean types are C. arabica and C. robusta.

Coffee plants are now cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa.

As of 2018, Brazil was the leading grower of coffee beans, producing 35% of the world total.

With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)
