The clan jetties in Penang

 

The Clan Jetties of George Town only came about in the late 19th century, following the reclamation of the George Town waterfront that extended the shoreline outward.

I spent President's Day at the jetty. Warm weather and cooperative ducks made for a fun day.

It's a lot sharper viewed large.

HDR image of the old rotten Jetty at Players Beach, Ryde, Isle of Wight (UK). 3 exposures of 1 second, 4 seconds and 8 seconds using ND filters.

Point Nepean National Park -Remnants of the former quarantine

Last week we had plenty of foggy circumstances. The jetty was so peaceful with the mist, I could sit there for hours. Given the setting I think that B&W fits well for this image, do you agree?

 

Now preparing for the Amsterdam Marathon tomorrow :-)

A jetty on the lake at Merimbula on the Sapphire Coast NSW. A change in the weather on the way and several rainy days after this was taken and it is still raining today.

Decided to visit Bosham last evening on a spur of the moment.

As usual no high tide,but thought I would make the most of it.Some who know me,know that I do like,what I call, muddy water scenes.So I made good of this and the sunset.
