Well it all started with a comment I made here: reward by LerrynPics

Go on get yourself a nice cup’a tea, this is going to be one of my more lengthy stories.

So! Once upon a time I commented, that I was going to make myself a nice big fat sandwich. Now I love all bread and beautiful, but especially I like sunflower seed bread. As it happened I had managed to track one down, the bread situation in Britain is not good, not good at all.

So it is only natural that nothing of this bread went to waste.

It is however a small-ish loaf. I have eaten it all now, so I can’t give you the exact measurements, but I would guess *M goes and gets a tape measure* 7cm diagonally is very close judging by the left over cheese slice, which I had to quarter to still fit comfortably on the toast.

Now this small-ish loaf was on its last leg, I would say *M is peeking at the tape measure* about 4cm left of it.

... and because I love it so (sounds like another song, Brendan:), I managed to cut, not very even I have to admit, 4 slices out of it.

The house was nice and quiet and although the sandwich didn’t look much, it tasted fabulously of nutty toast, butter and slightly melting cheese. The Java coffee was steaming and smelling of chocolate, sun was shining, life was good.

It saddened me deeply that I managed to burn the last slice of it. He ho! I scratched the black bits of very carefully and somehow salvaged it.

As I now sit and look at my sandwich with the motto “go on treat yourself, big fat sandwich” I had to laugh at this sorry excuse of my announced super-dooper club sandwich.

Just in this moment beloved and best husband of all comes round the corner and sees me laughing loudly at my sandwich. No need to mention that I failed miserably trying to explain the situation!

Nothing better than a cup of hot, dark coffee!

one for you, one for me ;)

Java coffee, as its name implies, is from the island of Java. This one, which is served at a restaurant in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, tastes better than the ones from Starbucks
