Many opt for the sunrise ticket to see Borobudur where you'll find yourself surrounded by 50 + people on a slow day. What most don't seem to know about is the sunset ticket which allows you to stay until dark. Around 5:00 they start kicking everyone out that doesn't have a sunset ticket which will leave just you and a handful of people left to enjoy the sunset in silence. There were only 3 other people watching the sunset this night - it felt as if I had the entire temple to myself.
