In some unreal twisted realm of life, I was able to meet Jarvis Cocker tonight (mainly because of my friend Leigh.) I talked to him for a couple of hours about books and music and then I had to ask.
"I really don't want to ruin this but I have to tell you something about me. Oops I just touched your arm I'm so sorry. Anyhow, you write these incredible lyrics and I'm sure that's how you'll remember your life someday but for me I take pictures and I'm just so afraid this didn't really happen and I'll have no way of remembering when I have senile dementia someday or just bang my head hard or in some way and completely forget who I am. And that's why I can't stop taking pictures...because for me, I know this will happen and I need to find a way to remind myself of all the experiences I had in life and who I really was.
So, could I maybe take your picture so that I can remember it?
Because I mean, I had this great dream I was taking photos of Leonard Cohen and that the Arcade Fire was playing in my living room and turns out that never happened. I want to know this really happened."
This would be the first eastbound we were properly in position to capture on our westward trip. We had just missed out on a shot at the Ramsey Northstar station after getting locked out from using the skywalk so we kept going west for the next one; ultimately deciding to intercept at Jarvis Street. The crew of a hot Z stares us down as they blow past the 34.5 detector with a straight shot to Northtown.
Dusk is firmly settled in at Jarvis, one station south of the terminal at Howard on CTA's North Side Main Line, where north and southbound Red Line trains make their stops.
el concierto fue un poco lento para mi gusto, pero bueno por sólo verle hacer poses valió la pena... el tío es un crack!

I was checking on a friend's cat while he was out-of-town, so I thought I'd look for a photo opportunity from his condo. I know I just recently did a tilt-shift, but it seemed appropriate for this shot. This is Jarvis and Carlton -- a pretty busy intersection.
De izquierda a derecha : flaquito sexi = jarvis, señor come astronautas, y steve.
T42PVM was one of the Olympians bought new by Blue Bus in Bolton and has seen a couple of operators since, all within the Manchester Lancashire area. It received this revised Northern Star livery a while back after the Hurst livery changed. It is seen here climbing out of Wigan heading for a local college. Would be a great addition to the Manchester preservation scene given its pedigree..
