A colour version of a shot I previously edited in monochrome. From the January storm, on the South Gare at Redcar, we witnessed in 2017. One of the first shots I took with my 7D Mkii which died after an encounter with a much smaller wave, on Saturday. The camera and wide angle lens have gone for estimate for repair or replacement and may be away some time! I call this wave the "Whale's Tail" because that's what I can see as I look at it's shape. Apparently the lighthouse was painted, earlier this year, so I'm glad I caught the rust which adds to the feeling of exposure to the elements!

January's chill grips the shore's expanse,
Where the gulf meets sand in a frosty embrace.
The wind, a whisper of winter's advance,
Paints the beach in shades of cold, stark grace.
We had a pretty busy day without much spare time so just a quick shot of Tigelaar sitting by the open door wishing he could join Scott outside to 'feed' the birds.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Sock keeping an eye on the happenings outside. It honestly wasn't a lot, it's been so cold up here the last little bit that even the squirrels are limiting their time at the feeders.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Another taken in January was this of 455 and the Lance with the lemon coach beside. 455 spent about a month down at the yard while its new panels and MOT were put on and the Lance spent the whole winter. The lemon coach or should i say orange is seen about to head out for the afternoon service 44.

A quote from that article: "Formerly known as the Temple of Jupiter Panhellenius, the great Doric temple is now recognized as dedicated to the mother-goddess Aphaia. It was a favourite of the Neoclassical and Romantic artists such as J. M. W. Turner." (and also me)

The last half of January 2022 has been exceptionally hot and dry along most of the California Coast. While the skies at sunset have been "on fire" - sadly so has thousands of acres along the Big Sur Coast just south of Carmel.
The late season blaze forced hundreds of residents to evacuate. And even with the big soaking this area got in December, the rain and cooler weather are no longer able to prevent "off season" fires from growing.

I opened the window to let some fresh air in the house this afternoon and it didn't take long for Tigs' to come running.

Flickr Support have asked me to leave my photograph up if it does not appear in your 'update feed' and start generating views as I would normally expect. This is so that their engineers can try to get to the bottom of the issue that continues to plague my account.
As a result this image may have fewer views and favourites than would be expected for a time.
I'm not entirely sure what's happened to Toad's face, but it looks like he's taken a bit of a beating... perhaps he got in Mario's way while he tried to save the Princess yet again?
Hope everyone is staying safe and doing well.

The sun has just risen giving stunning colours along Southbourne Beach Bournemouth, on a cold but fine January morning.
Winter is winter, it brings frost and snow here in the north of Russia. January's breath is going to freeze everything, including this small river.
But the light of mid winter is so beautiful sometimes. Especially right before sunrise. Try to get it when possible.
