A MUST SEE!!!!

Before starting his music career James Blunt was an officer in the British Army and was the first to lead troops into Kosovo as a member of the NATO peacekeeping force. It was while on duty there that he wrote this song and the video is a true account of what he saw and felt. You can see and hear the raw emotion in his eyes and voice and it seems almost painful for him to sing at times. Please take a moment to go on this journey with him.

First of all I have to say I'm not satisfied with this shot! I used a way too large Aperture and didn't have my Sigma 10-20 with me either.

But as I spent so many hours editing this shot again and again I am still uploading it.

I was there hours early to get in front, It was a dream come true to see James Blunt live. I had a wicked time (as a whole in Glastonbury festival) and seeing James Blunt performing live from so close has to be the highlight of the festival for me. This shot is done on the 11th of March when James Blunt has his ghost concert in the Elbphilharmonie. He played without audiance and it was streamed online.

In times of Corona creative ideas are needed. The spot where the photo is taken is well known. It looks like the Elbphilharmonie is close to the Town Hall, in the real world it is about 1km seperated.

My nephew arrived home today from playschool (kindergarden) complaining that the other kids laughed at his song. They were asked to sing their favourite song and after a few Humpty Dumpties, Mary Little Lambs etc it was my nephew's turn.

He sang James Blunt's "Your Beautiful" and the other kids laughed. It was a typical instance of standing out from the crowd and the others not accepting your different ways.

Reminds me of 51% of my own journey.
