Jesse Jackson is a civil rights legend in America and it was an honor to hear him speak. Considering he's 80 years old and both him and his wife recently just recovered from Covid, I know it could not have been easy to join these protests in Chicago and in Kenosha.

UP YSPBN charges uphill through Jackson Street behind a trio of SD40Ns with mostly traffic for the BNSF at Northtown.
UP YSPBN is in full throttle up the grade at Jackson St. as they head west to Northtown yard. Several railfans were on location, and this quad set of SD40Ns did not disappoint!

Another oldie but a goodie scanned from Fujichrome Velvia slide film. I don't remember the year this taken but it was on a workshop in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A location that I would like to revisit and shoot again with digital.... so many places to see and photograph.

A view from the eastern side of the mountainside home we rented on our fly fishing trip in Wilson Wyoming area.
We could fish the pond behind and the nearby creek plus we had close access to 5 major rivers and lakes in the Jackson area.
Visitors to this little view included, ducks geese, sandhill cranes and osprey. One member of our group spotted a moose but I did not see it.
...and yes I caught a rather large trout in this pond.

A late comment: did anyone notice that there's not a thousand tourists in this picture? But it was at the height of Mardi Gras. I caught it at a good moment.

With a perfectly forecasted day of clouds and cool weather on Saturday I couldn't resist getting out and doing some waterfalling. I'd been wanting to revisit McCammon Falls in Jackson County, Kentucky in good conditions for some time. It had been 4 years since I had spent some quality time with this waterfall, which also happened to be my first visit. Although I had been here two more times after that both those visits were of the extreme, once with no water and the other there was way too much water. On this latest visit I couldn't have asked for better flow. See that tree on the left? I hate that tree. In the case of this shot I thought it fit the composition well, but to get straight on shots of the falls showing both tiers is quite the challenge since the dead limbs protrude across the view of the waterfall. I've been threatening to bring an extendable saw and trimming the limbs off for some time now but on this latest trip I wasn't in the mood to fight a 6 ft tall pole with a sharp blade on the end in the vehicle all day long. Some day though, I'm going to clean that view up.

Grand Tetons National Park. An early morning out exploring the park and lake. I found this at the marina with a great reflection coming off the calm waters of the lake.
I actually dont have any of he Monster high Boys, I once had Deuce but he was too sexy to stay (After I gave him a beautiful New hairdo)
So I was excited to actually LOVE this MH Boy! And I think Kohl was even more Excited then me, he very much Missed the Piggybacks he would get from Deuce :P

One of the spots we stop on my Grand Teton National Park photo tour that is always a favorite.....away from people and a magnificent view of the Jackson Hole valley.
Jessie Jackson was my upstairs neighbor for the past year or two and we often saw him. I regret not having the opportunity to talk to him other than hellos and goodbyes. Over the past few months we watched his health decline and knew the end was near. While I didn't always agree with him, there is no doubt that he opened many doors for my generation.
