My first acquaintance with Steven King. I love this book "The Shining" and also the movie with Jack Nicholson, a great actor!

If you never have read it or saw the movie and you like horror stories, it is a must to read and see ;-))

I like his style of writing, it is always plausible how the story line grows, but at some point there is that creepy feeling that you know it can't be.

For the Macro Mondays Theme: My Favourite Novel (Fiction).

Happy Macro Monday everyone!!!!

The Street Artist MTO, which is the short form for Mateo, was born in France and worked mostly in Berlin. Apart from that information, MTO managed to keep his identity and information’s about himself secret. He's since left Berlin citing among his reasons for doing so "too many hipsters."

I"m soon to have more, hopefully :)I want them all, I only need eight more, or nine more, or is it ten more... fuck I want them all!!!

Sometimes i wish i were someone else.

Macro shot of this photo of Martin Scorsese & Jack Nicholson on the set of The Departed, which I took a shot of in this huge tome on Scorsese I have.

Finished reading this book recently & it was an excellent read.

I went to a scary Drive-In movie this summer at the Vali-Hi Drive-In cinema theater, Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Those 'Grady Twins' from The Shinning movie still totally creep me out . . . Redrum . . . 😱

And sadly, I noticed this mural was completely scrubbed off of this brick wall in an alley, the last time I was in the area in October. This was slightly east of the Bucktown-Wicker Park Library.

This title is a variation on Jack Nicholson's epic line from A Few Good Men. However, here he is portrayed as the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker, from the 1989 movie, Batman. I don't quite have the wardrobe but I went for the colourful attire as best I could.

We're Here looks at Clowns today.

Ok , I'll have a Steve Mc Queen , Daniel Craig , some early Jack Nicholson , Benicio Del toro , some Eric Bana , a bit of Gullit .

Can I return if Im not happy with purchase,

Cool , I'll hold on to my receipt then .

My favourite film of his is probably The Shining, but my favourite performance of his is probably Chinatown.

i'm just hoping this was someone's final exam project.

The obvious follow up shot.

Shining!

How could I pick up those two 1989 figs and not build some of the other Burton Bat-Characters?

Today Kedi sat in a box in the garden. As you do. She was sitting quite contently, watching the...well, whatever she was watching. Untill ofcourse I had to tease her by scratching my nails around the hole, and with some pampagras. She got a little crazy then...luckily at the box and not me.

I'm down in London today for our half year company conference and staying in the Imperial Hotel in Russel Square which is a massive throw back to the 1970's and I don't think they've done anything to it since then either! It's actually quite quirky in a weird kinda way, the corridors remind me of a certain classic horror film and if I see these two at any point tonight I'm I'm outa here quicker than you can say Jack Nicholson!

If you haven't seen the Jack Nicholson movie, the title won't make much sense.... but if you have, a little spine shiver is in order.

The typewriter is one I always remember us having... in fact I used it in elementary school to type out stuff. It's a Royal Quiet Deluxe from around 1941 (No, I wasn't alive then, thank you very much!) and I figured it was time I tried a few pics with it. Fair warning... there may be a small series here.

A little more "Heeeeere's Johnny!" if you click the pic to view in Lightbox...
