Warlock Dan And His Revenge!

Dan, the Warlock was tired of Sam and Jack taking his toys, so as revenge he cast a spell on them and turned their ears to Rabbit ears! Poor Jack and Sam!

Today marks not only the end of October but marks the end of my 365, year 1. It’s been an amazing journey through the months. It has been great getting to know new friends and reconnecting with old friends.

Some of my photos have surprised me in their popularity while others I felt would be popular got little to no activity which tells me I still have a lot of growing to do.

Thank you for all of your views, comments, support, love and friendship.

Starting tomorrow I will be starting my new 365 (actually 366) project with some new things in the plans… I hope you will continue the journey with me.

Thank you,

James

What A Hard Life =]

Yep, what a hard life indeed!

It's a Pixar House

I'm a pretty big Disney fan. It goes back to my childhood and the trips we took to Disneyland as a family. So, when Pixar came up with Toy Story, I was hooked. It was different yet it had channelled some of the classic quality and sensibilites of Disney at the same time. Meanwhile, Disney proper was heading south real fast with some less than stellar releases. The Pixar films were fresh and we enjoyed them. More often than not, we'd watch these movies with our nephews and nieces.

It was natural that we'd share these movies with our own sons as they grew up. Gabriel took an immediate liking to the characters as we have visited Disneyland early and often. He latched onto Toy Story and Bugs Life immediately. Then came the releases of Cars and Ratatouille. With those films, he was totally aware of their impending releases and actively looked forward to going to the theatres and digging into a bit of popcorn.

It's fun to know that he's into the stories and has actually learned quite a bit by doing so. As a parent, it's good to have an interesting story with something that we'll likely watch dozens of times (at least). One side note, until recently, the Incredibles was the one movie he wouldn't watch all the way through. The initial setup wouldn't catch his attention. But, after catching it run during the X-Mas TV season, he latched onto it. I'm digging it because it's a terrific superhero movie. We'll continue to share these movies with Joshua in short order.

So, let's just say we have all the DVDs and even a few on VHS. I'll be getting the Blu-Ray copies as they end up at $20. We also have a quite a number of toys, stuffed animals, prints, posters and dozens of the Cars Hot Wheels. We've attended the Disney On Ice with Finding Nemo and the Incredibles. The list goes on...

When it came time to settle on a theme for Gabriel's "Big Boy" room (as seen in the background), we decided on keeping the red color on the walls and run with a Pixar theme. Turned out well as the color matched the Cars color scheme.

I was happy to see Pixar come under the Disney umbrella. It meant that not only we'd continue to see new films but also ensure that any potential sequel will be produced by Pixar itself. I also suspect that with Lasseter running the entire show, we might see the Disney magic return sooner than later.

Next up... Wall-E!

The Incredibles

The Incredibles is a 2004 American computer-animated superhero film written and directed by Brad Bird, released by Walt Disney Pictures, and the sixth film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The story follows a family of superheroes living a quiet suburban life, forced to hide their powers. When father Bob Parr's yearning for his glory days and desire to help people drags him into battle with an evil villain and his killer robot, the entire Parr family is forced into action to save the world.

Bird, who was Pixar's first outside director, developed the film as an extension of 1960s comic books and spy films from his boyhood and personal family life. He pitched the film to Pixar after the box office disappointment of his first feature, The Iron Giant (1999), and carried over much of its staff to develop The Incredibles. The animation team was tasked with animating an all-human cast, which required creating new technology to animate detailed human anatomy, clothing and realistic skin and hair. Michael Giacchino composed the film's orchestral score.

The film premiered on October 27, 2004 at the BFI London Film Festival and had its general release in the United States on November 5, 2004. The film performed highly at the box office, grossing $631 million worldwide during its original theatrical run. The Incredibles was met with high critical acclaim, garnering high marks from professional critics and audiences, and provoking commentary on its themes. Many critics called it the best film of 2004, receiving the 2004 Annie Award for Best Animated Feature, along with two Academy Awards. It became the first entirely animated film to win the prestigious Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.

Every time I see you

Something happens to me

Like a chain reaction

Between you and me

My heart starts missing a beat

My heart starts missing a beat

Every time

Aah, every time

Aah, every time

If I didn't love you

I would look around for someone else

But every time I see you

You have the same effect

My heart starts missing a beat

My heart starts missing a beat

Every time

Aah, every time

Aah, every time

Every time

I hear your heart beat next to me

I'm in love with you, I mean what I say

I'm in love with you and you don't know

What it means to be with you

Beat, beat, beat

H-H-Heartbeat

Beat, beat, beat

H-H-Heartbeat

Every time I see you

No matter what we do

There's a strange reaction

Can you feel it too?

My heart starts missing a beat

My heart starts missing a beat

Every time

Aah, every time

Aah, every time

I hear your heart beat next to me

I'm in love with you, I mean what I say

I'm in love with you and you don't know

What it means to be with you

Aah, every time

Aah, every time

Aah, every time

Aah, every time

Beat

(Every time)

Beat

Beat

(Every time)

Beat

H-H-Heartbeat

Beat

H-H-Heartbeat

Beat

H-H-Heartbeat

Beat

H-H-Heartbeat

H-H-Heartbeat
