Just realized I forgot to post this here. Well anyway, this is a digital painting of fellow Michael Eerdekens/Railblade's self-MOC Jack in a Box, the pre-revamp version. Enjoy.
(Done in Photoshop CS6 with the aid of a bamboo graphics tablet, for those interested.)
Inside the farm shop at Arreton Old Village on The Isle Of Wight. Lots of local produce at Farmer Jacks. Not cheap though !

"Jack Sprat could eat no fat.
His wife could eat no lean.
And so between them both, you see,
They licked the platter clean".
The name Jack Sprat was used of people of small stature in the sixteenth century. This rhyme was an English proverb from at least the mid-seventeenth century. It appeared in John Clarke's collection of sayings in 1639 in the form:
Jack will eat not fat, and Jull doth love no leane.
Yet betwixt them both they lick the dishes cleane.
The saying entered the canon of English nursery rhymes when it was printed in Mother Goose's Melody around 1765, but it may have been adopted for use with children much earlier

John Symon Asher "Jack" Bruce (born 14 May 1943) is a Scottish musician aged 69,
In 1962, Jack Bruce became a member of the London-based band Blues Incorporated, led by Alexis Korner, Bruce went on to form the Graham Bond Quartet. in 1965 He joined John Mayall and his John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers group, which featured guitarist Eric Clapton. After the Bluesbreakers, Bruce tasted his first commercial success as a member of Manfred Mann in 1966, including "Pretty Flamingo".
Whilst with Manfred Mann, Bruce again collaborated with Eric Clapton as a member of Powerhouse in 1966
In July 1966 Bruce, Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker founded the power trio Cream. in 1968 the group disbanded with Jack playing in a range of jazz fusion groups through the seventies and solo projects.
Jack stayed busy. in the eighties up to the present time. Jack pursued a mainly solo direction, including a brief Cream reunion in 2005.
I saw Jack in the Floral pavilion as part of the Wirral International Guitar Festival where he played Bass and keyboards.

Jack Frost

Someone painted pictures on my
Windowpane last night --
Willow trees with trailing boughs
And flowers, frosty white,
And lovely crystal butterflies;
But when the morning sun
Touched them with its golden beams,
They vanished one by one.
Taken last year while in Kansas for my husband's father's passing. We took a break from all involved with that to take a few pictures around the nearby lake.

I've been on an extended break and in the meantime, I lost my new camera on an airplane :-(( ...so I'm back to my Sony....
1963 version weighs 6.43 Kg with wheelbase of just under 39" Its lighter because of alloy chainset. Wheels are being trued up at the end of season.
