the toy box is alive with a thumping beat as they limber up for christmas. This gives me a chance to post this song. I am not a fan of disco generally, but give me a few drinks and i am up waving my arms like a fool to this tune.
All decked out in his Holiday costume (not sure if its Halloween or Christmas), this lovely Jacabob enjoys wintery mornings, a nice cup of hot chocolate accompanied by a couple sugar cookies, and squidgee squeezles. He's been out in the first snow of the season making a snow creature but the weather isnt quite cold enough yet to keep the snow creature from melting.

In the wood past the end of the garden hedgerows near the deep forest pond live a quorum of hairless Nudipeds. Nudipeds are most often sighted during the sultry weather of midsummer around dusk or dawn basking on soft mossy clumps of the woodland floor in the filtered light of the sun through the leaves. Seeing that he was a quiet yet amicable fellow, the Jacabobs brought him home for tea.
The Peas subsist on the goodness of sunshine and the comfort of squeezles. These wee Peas are no exception having a romp on a warm green Hummock and leafless barren tree of Strangeland
The Peascape measures 8" inches tall by 6.5" long. Created by the needle felting method and the graciously donated wool of Bernice and Evelynn, the sheep who live down the lane.
Peas enjoy the company of all the Strangeland creatures including Jacabobs, Nurblettes and Hummocks. Even the occasional hedgehog and woodchuck but loath the company of kitties.
Unlike a lot of other Peascpapes, this one is safe; nary a skull nor an eyeball. It's quite solidly needle felted with graduated green wool over the left sleeve of an ancient world traveled woolly sweater with the tree supported by a wire armature and fully positionable.
I think I need to work a bit more on my photography....Petunia...Or maybe too many distractions..in that park!!
Or maybe a shorter box to stand on...
Val arrived this afternoon from the wee patch of woods over the hill. Jacabob girls and boys from my own patch of the trees swooned at the new face in town. Val is a more carefree with his heart than home town Jacabobs and measurably more handsome according to the girls.
nelson the jacabunny arrived today. he joins patoot, herbert, gertie, gilda, aghmohr, franklin & delano, samba & solskin, nubby & bunnykins and moggle. and he must have passed up the nudiped along the way, as he arrived before him.
more friends will be joining him in the coming days. because i may be in need of jacabob rehab.

The Pea creatures subsist on the goodness of sunshine, not only in summer but through the wind-blasty cold winter on the tundra of the North. These wee Peas are no exception having a happy romp on a crispy fresh fallen snow of Strangeland. For some of the Strangeland creatures though, the winter is much, much too long.
The good natured Peas enjoy the company of all the Strangeland creatures including Jacabobs, Nurblettes and Feezle. Even the occasional hedgehog and woodchuck in the short summer months.
Yes, the Raccoon skull, rest his little soul, is pristinely clean, painted and preserved in acrylic blue, has all his teeth and was found on the snowy banks of the Red River of the North. I've been told his father was a traveling sort and his mother was from a good neighbourhood. He seems to be quite benign, somewhat quiet which is to be expected I suppose, considering his state. Poor dear.

moggle arrived today, necessitating #2 shot of the day. here he is with all of his other jacabob friends.

Seeing strange pink elephants convinces a drunk Vic Valentine that it's time to go home.
