18th May 2021 :
Managed a lovely walk this morning, just before lunch and almost one of the first things I saw was this. I want one too, only there isn't enough space to keep it in our garden!
A silly photo, but I hope a fun one.
Today is : International Museum Day - nationaldaycalendar.com/international-museum-day-may-18/
Ours are opening up again either tomorrow or Thursday.
And as for the Silly News it's : National No Dirty Dishes Day - nationaldaycalendar.com/days-2/national-no-dirty-dishes-d...
I'll be back later, need to go and wash the dishes. 😆
I'm taking each day as it comes as far as the One a Day Photo goes. If I make it to the end, it will be an added bonus.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.
Some odd lines from Pablo Neruda's poem which really refers to a different kind of chair, but a few can apply to this one, which I photographed in a restaurant in Oslo in April 2017 and have kept safely in my phone gallery ever since.
... a throne
of unkempt velvet,
the plush of an overstuffed chair...
a chair
that embraces everything,
the sound
ground and
supreme dignity
of repose...
Bring me a chair
in the midst of thunder
a chair for me
and for everyone
not only
to relieve
an exhausted body
but
for every purpose
and for every person
for squandered strength
and for meditation.
War is as vast as the shadowy jungle
A single chair
is
the first sign
of
peace.
I popped around to see my mate Rodney today (not his real name) This is his freshly restored Triumph TR6 Trophy...

inspired by the amazing artist of Simón Pais-Thomas. He is truly amazing in his frame series.
School was little rough today. Too bad there were no secret portals to climb through like the one above :] I always end up with the funny teachers. Which I love most. Monotone ones will literally lull me to sleep. It was a zoo. I felt like I was in high-school again, which I try to avoid constantly. Besides that, I think I will have a good semester. Portraiture tomorrow! Can't wait for that :]
Don't forget you can purchase prints here. Flickr message me if you have any questions.
Also, I was just informed I was in a contest here on flickr. Vote if you wish :]
Excited for tomorrow for a collab with a secret and very loved flickr friend. It will not dissapoint :] AND I know i'm throwing a lot at you all at once, but I'm starting a new set on wednesday, that i hope you will all enjoy!
Ok...now swallow all that good news :]
Under the hood is a 351 c.u. with over 300 piston popin horse power. There is something a little different about a Monterey than a Montclair , I couldn't pin point It so I ask the owner . The difference is the roof the Monterey is like a business coupe with a higher roof ,the Montclair has a lower roof more of a choped look and chrome trim below the side windows
I love antique and junk stores. Especially when they create wonderfully chaotic window displays.
Good news! My husband bought a Polaroid 250 from out of that window for me tonight. I've already ordered film. Excited!
This is a car auctioned at the 2008 Barret Jackson Collector Car Auction. I neglected to properly identify the car for my picture- taking records because, as you might imagine, there was a swarm of people (i.e. MEN) who were drooling and slobbering while hogging the view. As I am only 5 foot 2 inches, this is the best I could do with my zoom between a few broad shoulders in front of me. Although its clearly a custom car, one of you might recognize the make or model from this small glimpse so please feel free to venture a guess.
It was auctioned off shortly after I took this shot. I tried to get inside the auction tent to see what it sold for but alas, unless you had paid hundreds of dollars for a ticket you could not witness that excitement. Most cars that Friday were being auctioned off between $50,000 to $200,000. The most expensive cars were on the auction block Saturday and Sunday when the Hollywood crowd invaded Phoenix.
I loved the bright and bold flames, the rims and tires, and the custom wheels on this baby. She's truly a beauty!!

This is a nameless guest cat that I rescued from being lost. She was running around scared out of her mind with a long pink leash and I finally got a hold of her as she was climbing up a tree.. after she calmed down a bit she has been much friendlier.
I will be looking around a home for her one of these days, until then, shes quite photogenic and I have a handfull of nice photos.
Also, I have a roll of film in my xa that im shooting through but when its done I think I will start taking my 5d out again because it feels like its been a while.
