I use IV therapy in different ways. One of the main ways that I use it is to support and supplement the immune system particularly for people that have maybe just gone over a serious illness they are weak and devitalized particularly the flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, diarrhea whatever intestinal problems. They're ways to use IV is just with not even so much hydrate but just to give the nutrients that the person might be missing out on.
We use high doses of vitamin C for viral illnesses, for people as an axillary therapy or people have cancer would use specific IVs for problems like macular degeneration, for people that just have let's say chronic fatigue or they have immune weakness. I probably have about five or six different IV formulas of therapies that I use. Generally, they use short term as a way to really supplement and get a person more quickly back on your feet, if they're particularly devitalized or they have an acute problem.

While getting chemo at MGH - the patients can look at the view of the Charles River and Longfellow Bridge.
My brother had his appendix rupture about a month ago. Which is crazy and scary all by its self, but come to find out it only burst because he had a malignant tumor growing next to it. Yesterday he had to have parts of both his colon and intestine removed in hopes of getting rid of the cancerous cells in the area.
Life can be so fresh, fun, and exciting, one minute and scary, sad, serious the next. These times are always such blatant reminders to appreciate the good times and enjoy them to the fullest. He seemed to be in a bit of pain, but in decent spirits today, which was nice to see. We’ll find out later this week if the cells were isolated to that area and whether or not he’ll need further treatments. Sorry to post something that’s such a downer. I’m sure good news is right around the corner. This photo is a shot of one of the IV bag in his room.

Poor Alfie is sick. He had been vomiting all day Monday and since he wasn't feeling any better Tuesday ( no eating or drinking), it was time for the vet. After he had been vomiting all day, he was in no mood for food or water.
The first trip was they gave him IV therapy since he was so dehydrated. They injected him with fluids right by his shoulder. They also gave him something for his nausea and diarrhea. 3 days later and he was still not 100% so I decided to take him in again. This time they gave him some antibiotics and another round of IV therapy since he was still anti fluids.
This time around, when he came out, this is what he looked like. I think they gave him tripled the amount from the first visit. I couldn't help but laugh. He looks like a hunchback. Poor little guy.
I'm hoping this will make him feel better so he can get back to his spunky self.
