Part of our needle case collection in Ivory, the one that has tape measure
the top is made from tagua nut, a palm nut that looks and carves just like Ivory,
The beautiful thing about this nut is you don't have to bother the beautiful animals.
The ones with the hole are called Stanhole needle case, there are beautiful tiny photos in there.
This is my carving out of the tagua nut.

Tower of ivory is synonym for place of escape from the difficulties of everyday life.

In these days my memories from my trip in Canada are emerging powerfully so I have decided to publish a shot that was waiting in my hard drive since more than one year. Was a cold morning walking in front of the Mount Assiniboine. This white spire appeared from the dark clouds was like a vision from another planet. Well, I am quite used to alpine environments and to the wonders of the mountains but that morning was something unbelievable and the memory is still vivid in my mind as if it happened just yesterday.
I have shooted a pano that is quite unusual for me but the vastness of the landscape and the characteristics of the place made this choice mandatory.

I'm fascinated with the way this lens squeezes things together. This is on Granville Street looking north as we approach 16th Avenue.
Svalbard, Norway. Cropped image from the closest encounter, shot handheld from a zodiac with a 850mm combo (600+1.4xTCIII). These gulls are often seen (relatively speaking as it is rare and threatened species) near polar bear kills, sharing in the meal. they are meat/carrion eating birds, like ravens, not fishers.
An epic sunrise over Ivory Rock near Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. See this and more on at my website www.murrayfox.com.au/
"We make a pair, don't we?" he asked, "Me blind as a bat and you bigger than a mountain but with eyes as sharp as a razor. Combined into one man, we'd make the perfect man."
The other looked at him, those great golden brown eyes softening. "Nah, bro," he says in that dark bass timbre, "Together, we can do anything."
Ok, my photos look kinda barren without the signature right?
I'm still uncertain about this shot, but just going along the spider theme, I'll give it a try.
Anyone know this spider's species?

This short, upright ivory Asiatic lily is blooming in my yard in Regina, Saskatchewan. It was in bloom when I bought it at The Home Depot two days ago. I don't know what it's called; the name is not on the tag.
A 5-point Roosevelt bull showing off his ivories while performing flehmen among yellow tansy flowers on a wet morning.
Sunlight streams on the river stones.
From high above, the river steadily plunges--
three thousand feet of sparkling water--
the Milky Way pouring down from heaven.

This is Ivory, my Elfdoll Yuan on my Feeple65 body. I wanted to see how she looks like on a taller, more mature body and I liked it! I think its perfectly proportional and the resin match couldn't be any better. In case I decide she'll keep this body I'll maybe mod/shorten a bit the neck and then say goodbye to Nova (my Feeple65 Chloe) and this is going to be my first hybrid! :p And then sell the Elfdoll pinup body with all its extras.
Decisions... decisions... :/
I've been so inactive this past week, I'm catching up later! \o/
