Why am I struggling to get pregnant?

Low Semen Volume

Another sign of male infertility is low semen volume. A low volume of semen can make it more difficult for the sperm to travel through the reproductive tract and fertilize an egg. Causes of low semen volume include hormonal imbalances, infections, and retrograde ejaculation, a condition where semen flows back into the bladder instead of being expelled during ejaculation.

Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the most common condition for men of all ages. ED is an inability to achieve an erection for sexual intercourse. While ED is not a direct cause of male infertility, it can make it more difficult for men to conceive. ED can be caused by a variety of factors, including underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or hormonal imbalances.

Pain, Swelling, or Lumps in the Testicles

Pain, swelling, or lumps in the testicles can be a sign of various conditions, including testicular cancer or a varicocele, a condition where the veins in the testicles become enlarged. Both conditions can affect male fertility, and it is important to seek medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms.

Gestational or Traditional Surrogacy?

There are two types of Surrogacy

At Inclusive Surrogacy, we work only with Gestational Surrogates.

Gestational Surrogacy.- the child is not biologically related to the surrogate mother, who is often referred to as a gestational carrier. Instead, the embryo is created via in vitro fertilization (IVF ), using the eggs and sperm of the intended parents or donors, and is then transferred to the surrogate.

Traditional Surrogacy.- It's a woman who gets artificially inseminated with the father's sperm. She then carries the baby and delivers it for you and your partner to raise. A traditional surrogate is the baby's biological mother.

Do You Know?

After The First Embryo Transfer, What Happens To The Remaining Embryos?

The answer is to freeze them so that if the first embryo transfer fails, the patient has another chance at pregnancy success without having to go through a full IVF cycle.

Following the fresh embryo transfer, the remaining embryos are checked to see if they are suitable for vitrification (rapid freezing). To be suitable, the embryos must be of similar quality to the embryo transferred and not show any signs of abnormal development or fragmentation (cell breakdown).

In many cases, even after a successful first cycle, couples prefer to keep the embryos preserved so that they can try for another baby later on.

What is “egg count” and how does it affect fertility?

Egg count is the number of follicles, or potential eggs, remaining in your ovaries.

Though born with 1–2 million egg follicles, a woman loses upwards of 1,000 eggs per month until menopause, with the rate of loss increasing after 35. Low egg count can lead to infertility, and can affect success adversely.

Females are most fertile in their mid-20s, with a 25–30% chance of becoming pregnant each month.

ACOG states that a female’s fertility gradually starts decreasing by age 32. They will have around 120,000 eggs, with a 20% chance of conceiving per cycle. After age 35 the drop is more significant.
