I should admit, since it is obvious enough from my uploads, that I loved (*loved*) hanging out on the railroad tracks. This shot gives you some idea of how beautiful the area is; hilly, lake-side, fall foliage galore, beautiful chilly but sunny weather ... my idea of a perfect day.

I brought my dog Jack with me for the day. I actually played hooky from work, but it was much needed -- I did a ton of reading (Eliot) and photography, and spent quite a bit of time romping around the woods with Jack. We were down by the tracks for an hour and a half, I think -- only two trains passed us by. I managed to get one shot, which I'll be posting at some point. The rest of the time, we were in the woods, climbing some boulders, doing the aforementioned romping, and laying on slabs of rock, looking up at the trees. Just perfect.

check me out, all big 'n stufffff :)

Day 260: I'm sure anyone who's happened upon my stream lately must think I'm deeply depressed. I swear I smile and laugh all the time, I just never seem to have my camera around when I'm doing that. Probably because it's much more acceptable to smile and laugh in public than it is to break into a fit of uncontrollable tears lol I'm just really stressed out lately, trying to figure out how I'm going to afford school and get myself to Chicago, and there's a guy involved...when isn't there with me? I should really just steer clear of all of them for awhile, I think...especially the ones who seem hell bent to hurt me lol

good luck today.

p.s.

you know how people often put disclaimers below their photos to tell you that the emotion portrayed in the shot is not real? well.. this is *not* one of those times.

*** Explored ! ***

I am back from my vacation , if you can call it that

It was hampered by cold , wet weather and the fact that I got a nasty cold

I did not swim, did not go far and did not visit a wonderful flickr contact that I so did want to see

In this case I prefer to see this (in the best optimistic fashion) as the glass half full

well at least that is what I am trying to do

:~)

Oh and HBW !

a bit ago the seriously amazing and sweet rahee wrote me a lovely testominial! if you haven't already seen her stunning photography then you guys are really not flickring correctly!! go now! it is so inspiring!!

this was right before the arcade attendant threatened to throw me out for taking pictures... how could i have forgotten that pier 39 was on the list of potential terrorist attack sites in san francisco?

365 Days: #174, 08/10/07

I don't want to sit across the table from you wishing I could run.

I bought a disposable camera from Urban Outfitters in early January, and it was one of those that was pre-exposed to cats... I was thinking little cats all over, that would be cute, but that is not even close to what I got. Turns out the cats are huge, and completely take over the frames. Most aren't even in the frame, and carry over into others. This was one of two photos that had no cats, and its the best one off the roll (which was Superia 400)

so this is how i started my day yesterday. reruns of melrose place with danish subtitels and some tea for inhaling.

Secret #8

Jackson was not always a healthy baby boy.

When he was born they brought him to me later and he was SCREAMING, the nurse asked me if I drank caffeine while pregnant, I was embarrassed and am embarrassed to say that yes I did, she said "well he's coming off of it" WHAT? They tell me before we can take him home that he has a heart murmur we need to get an EKG done.

It's only a "still murmur" I think that's what they called it.

Home for 2 weeks and he was NOT like any newborn I had been around. He wouldn't sleep at all in the day, he squirmed, made funny faces.

Finally after 10 or so calls to the pediatrician they decided to put us on antacid medicine for "acid reflux"

3 years later he is still on it, he has what is called GERD, gastroesophageal reflux disease. I know when someone says "acid reflux" you immediately think heartburn, this is so much different.

When he was 3 months old he went on a hunger strike, wouldn't take a bottle AT ALL... basically he figured it out, if I eat it hurts, so I'm not going to eat. We would feed him with a syringe, anything to get calories and fluid in him.

He's better now, he is on medicine and while on it he is WONDERFUL.. we have tried several time to wean with no success. I think this is just something he will have to deal with.

Oh, and that is where Ella and I met, we were both on the same reflux site, I actually got to meet Ella in person two years ago at an acid reflux convention. *muah* sweetie!

Taken in my awesome bathroom with amazing light.. I will miss this bathroom, it's small but cozy and has the best best light!

The Pugsley's Endomorphs are actually fatter than the front tyre on my 1000cc Moto Guzzi Le Mans and the bike is almost as long.

From San Francisco to Tokyo in just under three hours with a ten-minute stop in Hawaii, via the new TRANS-ORIENT-EXPRESS, a project planned by enginneers and scientists in a project sponsored by private entrepeneurs in the two nations of Japan and the United States. Entirely devoid of national publicity, the project was discovered by Earl R. Stonebridge last week while engaged in conversation in a cocktail lounge just south of Laguna Beach, California. In an exclusive interview with USA TOMORROW, Earl stated that he was ''...totally shocked when he heard of the concept and ordered a round of soft beverages for everyone in the establishment. ''Most of the customer weren't interested in any 'stinkin' soft drinks,'' Earl stated, ''but my Japanese friends offered to make the free beverages either soft or alcoholic, thus creating a more pleasant environment,'' Earl continued. ''Like how often does one learn something of this nature and not get excited. I mean, really, it didn't dawn on me to offer alcoholic beverages because I didn't want to be held responsible for anyone walking out onto the beach and tripping over a sand castle and end up with a stinkin' lawsuit.''

I've just worked out why the sweep on Mary bars feels so right. I've been riding something similar for the last 18 years.

inside the storm - it isn't pretty

The Pugsley's almost as long as my road bike.

The bike corner. I've just sold the fat one with no pedals to finance the small pink thing on it.

coffee to go = opium for the restless

A bison calf grabs some nourishment.

Finn and Hunter say goodbye.

I can relate to that ...

Not really. In reality, it sucks rear pretty bad.

It's tough to deal with living up here, but I manage. I was just diagnosed about 2 years ago and the symptoms started only a year before.

It's a mild case of Primary Reynaud's Disease and I can usually deal with it. When it flares like it did this weekend, it sucks because I miss out on things that make living in Alaska unique. But, hey... I'm not gonna die, I can be pain free by staying out of the cold, and it comes and goes, but it is pretty painful at times, especially when it hits large areas of my face and hands at the same time. When it's my shutter finger... :-P

Sorry, Alaskan Flickrites. I think you're number one and I'm sorry I wasn't downtown with you guys. I wanted to be.

(PS: I know I am a shrinking big d00d, but no, my hands really aren't this swollen all the time. It hurts. Almost as much as the fact that hey! "It often develops in young women in their teens and young adulthood." *grumble*)

Happy Earth Day!

All morning I waited for it to rain...and it finally did for like 10 minutes. Haha. Today made up for the burning hot, 32 degrees Celsius, from yesterday.

I love our Earth (:

Worry and stress affects the circulation, the heart, the glands, the whole nervous system, and profoundly affects heart action.

Seriously.

Apparently 72% of all women get it at least once in their life. Of which about 5% have it on a recurring basis. There is a one pill solution, available by prescription only. The branded version is called Diflucan but generic diflucan or fluconazole is cheaper. Well, if $20 per tablet can be considered cheap.

What they don't tell you about over-the-counter medication is that many of them contain a numbing agent. So after application, all it is really doing is numbing the itch and the pain - till it wears off. Some of the ingredients can aggravate an already tender area and make it worse. And most of them only provide 'temporary relief from the itching and burning."

If diflucan does not work, usually the doctor will prescribe another dose. It does take a couple of days before it kicks in so it's good to be aware of that rather than assume that it's not working. If the second dose also does not work, apparently there is a new douche - also by prescription - that is supposed to work.

Did I mention that men get yeast infection, too?

Tuesdays seem to be the worse day of the week for me. As of right now I am still in bed....in pain...crying for no reason. Have a ton on my mind. Meds to buy. A graduation to try and plan and deal with on Friday. Yes, Miss Ivo is graduating 8th grade on Friday. I can't believe it! & I am stuck in freakin' bed. So sick of all of this. Did the math and as of today I have been sick now for 694 days (I year, 10 months, & 25 days) totally crazy!!! At the point of begging to feel better. Don't know how much more I can take.......

i just wanted to upload something...

this is old. :P

i know it kinda sucks.

but oh well. :)

sooc.

better here though. :D

This is me waiting in the airport for my boyfriend to come home. We have a long distance relationship from Delaware, Ohio (my home) to Arizona (his home). This face is actually one of my most popular ones. You'll most often see this face if I'm taking a selfie before work early in the morning.

Aldershot, "Home of the British Army" -- North Hampshire

are sometimes better than one, not in this case though. testing toothbrushes for the Good Housekeeping Institute, this is numer 6 of 7 and it sucks.

I'll be gone for the next 5 days. Going up north with some buddies to do some hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and beer drinking.

Have a good weekend everyone. I know I will!

Day 276 of 365 days (2nd year)

Don't you think that ET should be in my basket instead of my lunch bag?

And by the way, I really don't like ET...it freaks me out!

my most precious one, dixie, died over the weekend, in her sleep.

born in march 1988 (!) that would make her 22 and she has been visiting my dreams. it's amazing just how long she has been with us. lived a nice life of insane love and luxury. incredible how much the heart can bleed for a furry family member, i was really and truly expecting her to live forever.
