We woke up to blue skies, birds tweeting and temperatures above 0 Celsius today; it's amazing what a mood lifter and energy enhancer the promise of Spring is!

Listening to that right now. This song reminds me so much of summer. Since the weather has been freakin gorgeous it really feels like summer sometimes. I'm LOVING it!!
I took this on Tues- I haven't taken a SP in awhile and I wanted to say hey to everyone (if anyone even comes on my stream anymore).
Life has been pretty good lately- I have been hanging out with my friends a lot, but also going to the library like it's my second home. Lots of work to do since the semester is winding down. I can't believe I am almost done my sophmore year. It really has been going by so fast.
Me and Amber are living together next year in our own place on Jackson St. It should be SO nice because A) we are good friends B) it is only us 2 C) Own rooms D) BIG basement for parties :) We keep saying that college is REALLY going to start next year. So far it's been a pretty awesome ride so I can't wait to see what's gonna happen the next year or 2 living there :)
Anyways, that is my life. Oh and this shirt is fairly new and I wore it for the first time Tues. and that's when I was like "Hm... Sp? YES" I got it when I was in Florida.
I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely spring and ready for summer since it's right around the corner!!
200209: The water was pushed out of the fjord because of the wind, and the beach had a great structure! We had hoped to see more kiters on the water in Laboe because of the southeast wind, but maybe the storm was too strong for them. The seagulls were happy about the storm, many shells were washed ashore. What else? The snowdrops and crocuses are already in bloom, and the hazelnut blossom has also begun.

200209: Das Wasser wurde wegen des Windes aus der FΓΆrde gedrΓΌckt, und der Strand hatte eine tolle Struktur! Wir hatten wegen des SΓΌdostwindes eigentlich mit mehr Kitern auf dem Wasser in Laboe gehofft, aber vielleicht war denen der Sturm zu krass. Die MΓΆwen freuten sich ΓΌber den Sturm, es wurden viele Muscheln an Land gespΓΌlt. Was noch? Die SchneeglΓΆckchen und die Krokusse blΓΌhen schon, ebenso hat die HaselnussblΓΌte begonnen.

Significance
Snowdrops symbolize new beginnings and hope because they typically bloom at the end of Winter and announce the approach of Spring. Growing close to the ground, they also represent death. Picking snowdrops and bringing them inside is considered unlucky.
Identification
Snowdrops' bell-shaped petals arch downwards, facing the ground, so the highest part of the plant is its stem. Some snowdrop varieties have green markings on the white petals.
