At first, I was not happy about being tagged. Been tagged many times before and never played along.... This is a first... Meet some of the real me below....

This is me, 180 degrees ago...literally and figuratively. Life is in every way now that different. In every way imaginable. Its not a bad thing, its not a good thing either. Its just what life is.... Nothing stays as it has been. Nothing is forever. We all are constantly changing, moving...living. This is how life works....
Its been in the 100's for days on end now...forecast 100's through the week. Today I cannot fathom being as cold as I was in this image. I think I had two winter coats on, scarf, snow-hat, the only exposed parts of me were the top of my face and the tips of my fingers, and that was just to see through and work the camera. When not shooting I had to keep the sunglasses on just to keep the chill off of my eyes....
The temp today, okay, not 180 degrees difference, but literally 115 degrees would be accurate. It was well below zero this day. Everything in life changes... hot to cold, fall to winter, to spring and rebirth, to life again, the cycle never stops. Some people don't have seasons like we do, I spent my first 20 years in an endless summer. But even for them, the cycle never stops. Things are always changing...for all of us, always, weather we see it or not.
For me, its all now 180 degrees different. Not full circle yet...just completely opposite as they were in this picture as compared to today...That's my point, which I don't expect anyone to understand. But that's life... That's the way it works... Its how we choose to accept or not, deal with or not, the cycle....that's what makes us who we are... So what if it takes an awakening, a revelation, a dream, or just a someone else or something to make you see that...whatever. It happens as we just go on and do what we do... we are all here together on this ride. We all breathe the same air. We share the same space... We are all in this together... We are all human. If you are reading this, then you are here, with me, on this ride, together with me, weather you realize it or not.... you are part of this bigger thing right here with me... None of us have any of the answers we seek. They are not here. Its not about the answers... Its about how we ask the questions. And how we just get through the days, without possibly knowing why. We are all here for each other... All of us. We are all given to each other to get through this thing together.... I have been given the gift to realize this.... I am not special. No one is.... But then everyone is too....all at the same time. This is life. Live it, and live it as well as you can.
Feeling too philosophical today, probably too much for my own good....

I have been tagged countless times here on Flickr.... This is the first time I felt like playing along. This is the first time I have ever felt like sharing any, even simple random facts about myself, other than what I have let slip through during my years here on Flickr.... Can't believe I'm doing this...This is SO not me to reveal myself. But reading my own words, we are all in this together... We are all on this wild ride together.. 1: What's you favourite colour?
For most of my life it's been blue... The past few years though its been ALL colors. I have a love affair with color. It's why there is hardly a speck of B&W on my stream. Color is a gift from God.

It's changed through the years...
Today, it's to live as long as I possibly can.
4: Who is/are your biggest idol(s)?
I don't idolize anyone. My favorite hero though is George Washington.
5: What's your favourite food?
A big greasy Carne Asada Burrito, with guacamole and extra HOT sauce, from the Roberto's (or any of the other 'berto's) 24-hour drive-thrus.... One of the very few things I miss about California. Nothing I've had anywhere else comes close, not remotely close.
6: What do you think is the most special thing about you?
I do not feel I am special, in anyway. Ever.
7: Do you have any pets/animals? If you don't, what pets/animals would you like to have?
I think this one goes without saying....just look at my icon! (or most of my pics!)
8: What's your favourite song(s)?
This one. By far!
9: If you could bring anything to a desrted island with you, what would you bring?
If I was stranded, my iPod.
If it was for pleasure, my iPod.

11: What's the weirdest thing you like to eat?
If its weird, I usually wont eat it. I will try anything once though... With food, I stay pretty main-stream, other than I like food wicked-hot and spicey. And if I add salsa to my food, it's usually just to cool it down a bit...
12: If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
A bird, so I could fly away.
I have always wanted to be inside a dog's mind...just for a minute..to try and understand their seemingly random processes. Not sure I would actually like to be one though, unless it was one of my own dogs. Then I know I would get the good life.... just not sure i'd like to lick my own ass... (probably TMI, i know.... but this is the only time im ever gonna open up here on flickr!... you guys might as well know the real me)

Jack Daniels, Neat...Coke Back (has to be like that....Jack first, coke chasing it.... mixed, i cannot stand the two. On a HOT summer day, Iced-Tea, unsweetened.

16: Do you have a celeb-crush? Then, who?
Cameron Diaz.... (Love blondes and she's so gorgeous)
Selma Hayek.... (She's so HOT, I once watched a chick-flick, all by myself, just because she was in it)
17: Who of your friends have you known the longest?
Todd. Best friends since high school. He now lives on an island far away, but we still keep in touch. The last time he left Maui for the mainland was to be best man in my wedding 20 years ago We have known each other since 1981. We were 14.
18: What in your life could you never life without?

19: Do you have a crush on someone/ do you have a boyfried/girlfriend?
No GF. Ex-wife is long gone... Can't call it a crush... But I have super strong feelings for a particular someone.
20: If you could change your name to anything, what would it be?
Trent! I'd love a name like that. I've never liked my name Darren... I don't know how she got away with it, but momma named me after two of her boyfriends from before she married my father. Darren Mark. I love my middle name Mark, but honestly never cared for Darren.
Now tell a random fact about yourself.....
I'm fluent in Spanish. And its about the only thing I am proud of myself for. I don't usually set goals. But as a teenager I told myself I was going to become bi-lingual. I set that goal for myself and realized it a few years later... I am self taught too... only took two years of Spanish in high school and never leaned more than how to count or say the time of day. I learned Spanish all on my own after high school, and to this day I am very proud about that. Its one of very few goals I have ever set, and its one I realized.

i'm kind of bored as it's not a beach day.. :'(
we're going to ride our bikes into town and play mini golf, get lunch, and possibly bring our money to the candy storee and get some candy (: if we do i am sooo getting some of those candy nerd things by wonka i love them!
