The enchanted forest really exists! It's called Kurshskaia Kosà and is a nature park on the border between the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad and Lithuania. This is a curious forest where a stretch of pine forest trees grow in strange and bizarre ways, trunks turn spiral as in photos and even there is one looks like a throne and another that looks like an ancient musical instrument, the pound.
The director of the park, Aleksandr Fomiciov, told the weekly Itoghi that place even the birds will dare to sing and therefore reigns an unsettling silence.
Of course many have tried to give an explanation to the phenomenon: According to historian Vladimir Kulikov similar phenomena exist in the Scandinavian countries and in the same Lithuania, and are due to the particular composition of the subsoil and violence of the wind. Some biologist has pulled in the ball even caterpillar to a butterfly that devouring the buds of pines will cause the abnormal growth.
There are those who instead supports, as a group of "cosmos-biologists", which in the forest Kurshskaia Kosà there is an "area of strength" between the infinite space and the living Earth, comparable to magical places like the megalithic monument Stonehenge in England or the Pyramids of Egypt.
However, in an attempt to understand what it is the director of the park has decided to sow some trees in the pine forest "healthy" to see then whether or not grow rights. Of course to get a response should wait a few years.
