Halina Poświatowska was a Polish poet who had the most amazing longing eyes.

A student of logic and philosophy she wrote about death, love, existence and famous historical personages, particularly women. Living, being, bees and cats also received a mordant critique from Halina.

Crested pigeons (Ocyphaps lophotes) are incorrectly called topknot pigeons. They're the only member of the genus Ocyphaps.

When taking off they make a tooting sound when air rushes over a modified primary feather on the wing. It's an alarm which draws attention of predators to birds in the air, and away from birds on the ground. And I painted them - link in my bio if you'd like to own them.
