Photo captured with the HTC Evo 4G LTE (Sprint) smartphone using the Luxe & Mayfair filters.
The phone was also mounted to a Ravelli tripod using an "istabilizer".
When the day starts this well, you just know that it will be a good day. A lovely old fire hydrant provided the perfect platform for placing a tripod (GorillaPod) with my iPhone mount on top to hold the camera steady when taking photos in low light sunrise conditions. As is sometimes the case, the unexpected / opportunistic shot was better than the carefully planned shots! Hence, this hand-held effort with the mini-tripod in the foreground was the pick of the bunch that I took this morning.

The GorillaPod is topped with a simple spring-loaded adaptor mount to hold my camera. The latter is compatible with the standard tripod screw. It can be purchased separately under various names (e.g., "iStabilizer MobiMount Smartphone Tripod Mount"), but also comes as part of a lens kit (e.g., "iPhone Telephoto Lens", sold by Photojojo and others).

iPhone - Photograph taken with the native Camera app on an iPhone 4 without using the HDR option.
Snapseed - Selective lighting adjustments carried out to reduce the brightness of the lower right hand portion of the sky. Two passes through the Structure filter. Ambience filter applied and overall lighting changes carried out. Selective lighting adjustments applied to increase the orange and yellow saturation where the Sun was rising.
Frontview - Trapezoidal crop applied to alter the perspective.
Snapseed - Selective lighting adjustments carried out to decrease the saturation of green elements towards the bottom of the image.
Photo fx Ultra - Edge Glow filter applied.
Snapseed - Image cropped, retaining the original ratio of width to height.
iResize - Image resized to 1936 x 2592 pixels.
Photo fx Ultra - ND-Grad filter applied. Circular black vignette added.
XnView - Decreased the brightness, then decreased the ‘Gammasat’.
PaintShop Pro X5 - Digital camera speckle noise attenuated (80% fine, medium and large scale, 60% blend). Selective desaturation applied to foreground elements using the Brush tool. Added a series of borders (50W10B100W40B).

One of the two lightweight iPhone tripod and mount combinations that I travel with. This one is the "GorillaPod SLR-Zoom" topped with a simple spring-loaded adaptor mount to hold my camera. The latter is compatible with the standard tripod screw. It can be purchased separately under various names (e.g., "iStabilizer MobiMount Smartphone Tripod Mount"), but also comes as part of a lens kit (e.g., "iPhone Telephoto Lens", sold by Photojojo and others).
This combination is perfect for taking the individual frames for a panorama because the head can be smoothly rotated from one orientation to the next in the sequence.

The other lightweight combination that I travel with (not shown here) is a short monopod, similar in length and construction to one of the legs on the tripod featured here, with a suction cup at the base. This is perfect for attachment to virtually any smooth, flat surface such as those on a sheet of metal or glass. The head of the monopod is not at all fancy, and I use another of the mounts shown here to attach my iPhone.
