Hikmah Ramadhan

Munsyid : Rabbani

Alhamdulillah... Alhamdulillah

Ramadan kini tiba lagi

Alhamdulillah... Alhamdulillah

Syukur pada Yang Esa

Bulan Ramadan tiba lagi

Membawa hikmah dan pengajaran

MEndidik jiwa orang bertakwa

Menginsafkan diri siapa kita

Jagalah adab di bulan ini

Berbukalah dengan sezeki yang halal

Sediakan juadah yang berpatutan

Elakkan diri dari pemmbaziran

Berbagai hikmah dan baraqah

Terkandung di dalam bulan Ramadan

Dikurniakan juga Lailatulqadar

Malam terpilih sepuluh malam terakhir

Puasa bukan hanya berlapar

Tapi ia jalan menuju ketakwaan

Ibadat dibina dari hati maknawi

Redha lagi pasrah penuh kehambaan

Alhamdulillah... Alhamdulillah

Syukur pada Yang Esa

My first Islamic binding that I made while on a 4 day bookbinding course at Flatford Mill (Field Studies Council). Covered it with Chieftain goat skin. The paper is sunflower paper that I bought in Udaipur 2 years ago. I made the marbled paper in 2024 when on a course at West Dean College.

Two errors that I know about. The worst error is the width of the fore-edge flap. The second is at the start of one of the chevron endbands. I learned a lot making this book.

I think this is the best shot I have taken this year.

MOC featuring a fictional Islamic Astronomy tower seating in the gardens of a palace in the Valley of the Nile.

Inspired by the Tower of Pisa and the Torre del Oro I knew by Age of Empire II.

Built in the intent on being displayed at conventions, I would love to show you all the details in person one day!

Many thanks to all BII members for their support and feedback, including JimBaggins (most notably for suggesting many designs), KitKat, Eann and the amazing Lech Kulina for helping me troubleshooting the use of brackets. I thank also the pleasant feedbacks of my fellow French builders from BricksOrigin.

Happy viewing!

Fatima Masumeh Shrine, Qom, Iran.

Like the Masjid Imam Ridha in Mashhad, the Shrine of Fatimah Al-Masumeh in Qom is revered as one of the two most important Shi’ite cities inside Iran, and the two are closely related in more ways then one. The shrine is home to the Tomb of Fatimah, the daughter of Musa the 7th Imam and the sister of Ali the 8th Imam who is buried in Mashhad. She was therefore also a direct descendent of the Prophet Muhammad, and is honored among Shi’ites. More generally, the Tomb of Fatimah is possibly the most venerated holy place in Islam dedicated to a woman, with the exception only of the Tomb of Hagar in Mecca. Although not considered quite as sacred as Mashhad, Qom is nevertheless Iran’s most important religious center, and is home some of its most important schools as well as many of the highest-ranking Shi’ite officials.

Once we were in the compound, no camera was allowed except camera from the cell phone.

Every year in the month of Ramadan,4 all Muslims fast from dawn until sundown, abstaining from food, drink, and sexual relations.

Although the fast is beneficial to health, it is regarded principally as a method of spiritual self-purification. By cutting oneself off from worldly comforts, even for a short time, a fasting person gains true sympathy with those who go hungry, as well as growth in his or her spiritual life.

The 8th century Ribat at Monastir, Tunisia, was one in a chain Islamic fortresses intended to protect the North African coast from Byzantine incursions.

Iran, Qom : Il santuario di Fāṭima al-Maʿsūma

Imagine these are Sunnies, Shiites and Kurds. Suddenly the Amercan Zionist psychopaths send in some sponsored testosterone bulls who kill the other cows. Who should Obomba bomb to realise weakened, fragmented Arab states to assure the dream of a great Israhell between the Nile and the Tigris?
