Jane got out this afternoon and hid from me under my shed for a while. I was able to attract her attention with her favorite toy and then bring her back inside.

She proceeded to run around the house like a possessed cat before she hopped up on the coffee table which she knows is off-limits. She is seen here disagreeing with my instructions to leave the coffee table.

She just had "bad on the brain" today and was acting out like crazy.

SEE LARGE !

The sun was out this morning before the rains came and it meant it was time to look outside.

I messed up the focus on this one, it seems this new (vintage) lens is harder for me to nail the focus than others. So I just need more practice with the little girl.

For "Macro Mondays" group theme "Feather".

N.B. Realised it doesn't satisfy the 3 inch criteria so removed from the MM Group photographs.

Tried balancing the feather against a glass sphere - what a waste of time that was!

Grabbed the chair and stuck the feather into the seat. Swung round the desk light and rather liked the effect! Now I'm not too sure and think I need a third item for a better composition.

The 'floor' is a piece of blue paper and the background is unlit study.

Just a fun picture and the lens?

There is a little story there, for another time!

Jane is tired of posing for photos and would just like to play with her toys. I guess portraits will have to wait as I have time with some jingle balls in my future.

I love, love, love unusual/uneven time signatures and experimental rhythm in general. It's such a pity (mainstream) classical and popular music eradicated most of it...

This one surely is my most comprehensive write-up so far. There are still many open questions and missing pieces, but I've tried my best to provide an overview of the different series of the Kiptar, Super-Kiptar and many related (in name, development and design) lens families. I've also included lots of bits and pieces about the history and possible connections between these lenses or ones from other manufacturers. I also created a rough timeline of Schneider, ISCO and some of the relevant products as well as a serial number overview. Unfortunately Schneider didn't respond to my questions about the matter, but I hope they're going to help me out by clarifying or adding some of the stuff that's still unclear or missing.

You can find the article here:

deltalenses.com/the-kiptar-story/

I've experimented with many of the lenses in question myself and included a lot of sample shots. In addition to that I'm also very happy and thankful that Gudrun Besler (aorta-besler) who is a wonderful artist, photographer and experimenter with unusual lenses from Germany, has agreed to share some of her beautiful shots taken with several samples of Kiptar lenses as well.

Thanks to everyone here and elsewhere who helped me out time and time again with some related questions. If you have some additional information on the matter, please let me know!
