Seven sculptures by Isamu Noguchi are installed in the Noguchi Sculpture Court, a large space in the Nelson-Adkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO.
Sun at Noon is 1969 sculpture by Isamu Noguchi. He alternated curved pieces of French red marble with Spanish Alicante marble.
The work partially viewed in the background is a 1964 heart shaped sculpture from 1964 that is named "The Mountain."

Isamu Noguchi (野口 勇 Noguchi Isamu?, November 17, 1904 – December 30, 1988) was a prominent Japanese American artist and landscape architect whose artistic career spanned six decades, from the 1920s onward.
What better way to segway into some New York City shots than to start with my daughter Brianne. She seems to have an eye for form and I have a blast shooting with her and thinking about a Flickr friend Peter and his daughter!

This sculpture from 1973 is a mimic of The Sun at Noon (1969) that was started by Noguchi's assistant Isumi. This black granite. version makes for a nice compliment in the museum now.
