A memorial wall for Isaiah Moronta, 13 years old, he died March 13th, 2020 after he jumped into the Hudson River trying to save his friend Manny Flores. His body was found April 11th and Manny was found April 29th.

Sitting on Columbia Square, once the boundary of Savannahs walled city. The Isaiah Davenport house is one of Savannahs most celebrated buildings. It is a three story center stairway federal style home built in 1821. The house had served as headquarters for the Historic Savannah Foundation which saved the home from demolition in 1955.

This a view of the front of the house. I eliminated the surrounding houses and did the best I could considering the lighting of the reference photo. I was commissioned to do a couple of illustrations for some one retiring from their work at the Isiah House in Rochester.

My dad didn't want anyone giving us toy guns beause of his pacifist beliefs. Still they found their way into my toy chest and now I am an excellent marksman. I don't own any real guns, but whenever I get to use one I'm fairly 95 percent accurate with it. I blame gun-based video games. Benjamin Franklin had an amusing rant referencing this quote: "Those who beat their swords into plowshares will end up plowing for those who did not". I don't condone violence, but human nature is very complicated.

#52/52 (Xmas)
52 photos in 52 weeks...there have been times this year when I wondered if I woulc complete the project, but I did. A mixed bag of photos, some far better than others, but I have learnt a lot and "52 Weeks - 2016" will hopefully see the results of that learning. Time will tell!
