long exposure for no reason at all. this was just to mark the occasion of being in an upper west side irish pub, the fact that i went to my first shakespeare in the park last night, and this pub just happens to be where anne hathaway herself gets her drink on after the show.
of course, i didn't realize it was her at first and my instincts were to mock her outfit. but then i realized who it was and forgot about being bitchy and had another margarita instead.
ah. new york.
The bar "fittings" at Kitty's were brought over from Ireland and installed at the time of the major 1980s era renovation of the entire hotel.
The exterior "entrance" is purely symbolic - the only entrance to the bar is from the hotel itslef.
Sitting in an old Irish pub in Notting Hill, my friend Daniela brought this old man to my attention. He was deeply engrossed in his book and the pub was very dimly lit. Sadly, the only camera I had was my Nokia 6600, which takes really bad images, especially when the lighting is poor.

The most beautiful of co-workers, Stephanie and Janine. They are both super funny and feisty ladies. I am happy that I can be regular friends with them now, instead of just work friends.

Diese Figur entdeckten wir am Samstag morgen vor einem Irish Pub in der Fußgängerzone Kopenhagens, zusammen mit vielen Schweden- und Dänemark-Fans. Und es ging erstaunlich friedlich zu, man begrüßte sich freundschaftlich.
Dann erst stellten wir fest, das abends ja da das EM-Qualispiel DK-S in Kopenhagen stattfand. (Und es war ein Skandalspiel! Schade, dass wir keine Karten mehr bekommen haben.)
