Ipoh is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Perak. Located by the Kinta River, it is nearly 180 km (110 mi) north of Kuala Lumpur and 123 km (76 mi) southeast of George Town in neighbouring Penang. Located in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia, the driveway at the Ipoh Railway Station. It was constructed based on a Neo-Moorish/Mughal/Indo-Saracenic/Neo-Saracenic architecture. It was completed in 1917 and continues to be the main railway station for the state capital.

Built in 1931, this Art Deco building was built for the Mercantile Bank of India. Although the ownership has changed the words ‘Mercantile Bank’ and ‘1931’ remain on the front of the building.
