The place was packed as it was Sunday. It was chaotic with the waiters shouting customers orders to the kitchen staff.

Ipoh is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Perak. Located by the Kinta River, it is nearly 180 km (110 mi) north of Kuala Lumpur and 123 km (76 mi) southeast of George Town in neighbouring Penang. As of 2010, Ipoh contained a population of 657,892, making it the third largest city in Malaysia by population. In recent years, Ipoh's popularity as a tourist destination has been significantly boosted by efforts to conserve its British colonial-era architecture. The city is also well-known for its cuisine and natural attractions.

This is where I bought freshly baked puffed biscuit...I think they called it xiang ping. The taxi driver said they dont normally sell if they dont have stock....I was lucky...only thing is I only bought one! And after eating, I regretted cos it was very good! Should have bought more! But this was located in the outskirts.

St Michael's Institution at Jalan S.P. Seenivasagam in Ipoh. Seen is the bronze statue of St John Baptist De La Salle and a pupil.

Founded in 1906 by a Hainanese immigrant, the F.M.S. (Federated Malay States) is reputed to be the oldest restaurant in Malaysia. The main clientele were European miners and planters. It was moved to its current premises in 1923.
