Reto 6-2010: "Retratos - Primer Plano"

I snapped this shot last year when I was in Australia on the Gold Coast. I was trying to take a shot of myself with the sunrise coming up behind me. I woke early (4 AM) to catch some of the amazing sunrises. I saw these foot steps and this verse came to mind right away

"... what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to observe the LORD's commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?"

Serving the Lord as a pastor is never easy, is not always fun, but it is always good. I am privileged and blessed to work in the community I do and serve the people I get to serve. Walking is such an apt term for it. It is not a job, nor is it just a church. It is something that I get to be a part of that is living and powerful. It changes lives, blesses the poor, and loves the unlovable. Worth every day of my life and that is why I love walking with the Lord.

From the summit of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, the views are outstanding in every direction. My favorite view in particular is looking south towards the Cranberry Islands.

Only 2 more months in this bedroom... might as well keep it clean.

EXPOSURE 1/60th @ F5.6 @ 400 ASA + 5/3 EV @ 20mm FX / 35mm Equivalent - 30mm DX : My apologies for image quality ...the old Sigma doesn't really talk that well to Nikons ...so this was a bit flat . Would have preferred fill in flash but I'm still getting to grips with the Metz 54 MZ4 ....the instant sunshine machine ! ....sometimes it's easier to set 1 - 2 stops lower than the camera ..on say a old Vivitar ! .
