The shortest covered bridge I've seen, but still ... I love covered bridges!
Del Norte County, California
Taken on South Minter Avenue, here's a small abandoned building with a decorative crop of Pink Evening Primrose. Three weeks later there wasn't a single blossom left. We have driven past this place several times over the years but this is the first time we've caught it with the flowers. Crouching down low to shoot worked out well in making the blossoms more prominent as well as hiding a junk chair that was at the front of the structure. Kneeling would have been painful due to the plentiful crop of grass burrs present. I carried a fairly large number back to the truck on my socks, but flicked them away with a plastic fork, an essential tool to have with you in grass burr country.

After more than 13 years I stopped working with Nikon. A great brand but I wanted a small system camera with good specs.
A Beautiful Sunset view from my Jeep on my drive home from work. I love when I get out of work and drive during the sunsetting...so pretty.
First photo of my beautiful Granddaughter. Such a long day yesterday. Martin is working away in England, sods law the baby arrives when he's away so I got up at 6am, put a bewildered Bella & her basket in the back of the car & drove 200 miles round trip to Cork Maternity hospital for just 40 minutes with her. My son's girlfriend said she'd cried all night, I don't believe a word of it.
iPhoneSE photo. Despite living just 10 minutes drive from the coast I don't make the effort to go often enough, especially at this time of year as I find the hordes of Summer tourists quite overwhelming. However last Saturday morning was hot & I had a sudden overwhelming need to see the sea so I headed to Grange Beach after visiting the Country Market in Fethard-on-Sea. The beach was virtually deserted apart from a few families. The sea was calm & quite warm, I took my shoes off & waded in quite a way. I had an urge to swim but couldn't as I had no swimsuit & didn't want to get arrested lol.
Looking down into a glass tumbler containing a Giant House Spider “Eratigena atrica” about to be relocated to a new abode HA15. Busy day apologies but I’ll catch up with comments tomorrow
(49/365) Inside looking out, a derelict farmhouse I nicknamed "Bleak House". It's been a long time since people lived in this place. Happy Wall Wednesday & Happy Window Wednesday!
