another cloudy photo

unbelievably I had washing out and dried this morning. got caught in a white out a couple of hours later

my photo organisation is dire, i should spend time doing some sorting, the reality is I'd rather do anything else

there seems to be birds everywhere

burned the sky and did some colour adjustments in PS as the iphone wants to make skies like these a horrible super saturated blue. definitely time to invest in digital - never thought I'd say that

horrible weather but great for water reflections

I've decided to pick a few of my favourite derelict cottages and revisit at least twice a year and document the passing . I think the destruction of the brewery cottage made me realise that these are not beautiful to everyone, sadly..

old empty cottage - the shed in front has an upturned boat hull as the roof

a cottage I want to keep going back to - I think this is my fourth visit. I see more deterioration every time.

went to Warbeth

sorting old photos, i remember this day as I didn't load a roll of portra properly - gutted but relieved i'd taken back up iphone photos

out a drive, loads of birds - incredibly windy day, going to try tagging as I was nominated by Laurent Jacques to do 5 days of black and white www.flickr.com/photos/126242677@N03/

more processing done on the iphone photos from the piano

a cottage just below the cairn on the hill. A peaceful night and what a great spot.

another of the birdie man's house...really must find out why he was called that

birds in Holm, nothing more to say

another from the grimness walk - hipstamatic

I love the east end of Holm, my grandparents owned the farm way out at the end and I spent so much of my childhood there - it's still very special place to me

Clouds and reflections and I'm happy, taken a few weeks ago but it's similar today, calm and no wind

a couple more from yesterday, hoping to get more inormation about this place

pinhole app travelling on the bus back to the hotel

I had to turn around and open the side window to get a photo - the force of rain coming in with the storm was nearly impossible to photograph. Love the wild weather

I went to Burray a drive to see the whales, panicked a bit as I didn't know if I'd get back across here as it was rough driving through and the tide was rising. Realised I didn't actually care that much if I saw a whale and I'd rather take photos of waves and clouds anyway ! This was after i got back across and not long before they were closed until it got safer. There have been many instances of car windscreens being smashed by waves coming over

Embrace me

My sweet embraceable you

Embrace me

You, irreplaceable you

My friend Sheryl considers this a disaster, I only see beauty.

She remembers the occasion on which a pot burnt this pattern into her sink.

more dereliction from recent walks
