I don't usually experiment with intentional camera movement on my traditional cameras, but I decided to try the Reeheld long exposure iPhone app and was pleasantly surprised by the results.
I had to post another version - this one was edited with Instagram's Lux filter*, so it's a much better comparison. Now which one do you like better?
Brownstones in Boston's Back Bay. 30 second exposure on iPhone 6s using Slow Shutter Cam makes the water look glassy.
*Both this one and the last one were edited with the Instagram Lux filter. I feel a bit odd admitting that, but I do like the effect. I wish I could quantify it well enough to reproduce it in other photography apps. On the bright side, Instagram has improved and now saves photos at full resolution to my camera roll after editing, so I haven't lost any resolution here.
This is a handheld long exposure picture taken using the “Live Photo” effect on an iPhone. My hands moved, the heron moved, the leaves moved and the water moved but still I found the end result quite pleasing so I thought I’d share it here.

This digital collage evolved after drinking Rose Petal Tea that my son bought me on a trip to Bath.
After initially blending images on an iPad shot on my iPhone and passed through @icolorama, I let the imagination take over in joint forces with @superimposexapp. Finally painted over with @procreate.

Blending, colouring, collaging, masking, painting ‘til this listening lady arrived with her magical hat.
The digital collage process:
As always the process began by blending iPhone-shot textures, marks and forms on an iPad then passed through @icolorama, I let the imagination take over in joint forces with @superimposexapp. Finally painted over with @procreate.

This is my first attempt at long exposure photography with an iPhone. I was skeptical to begin with, but soon found out that the photos are actually pretty good!
