Apparently, after the finale aired, Thomas was able to gain control of the Crawley estate by getting Lord Robert drunk and winning his home - and money - in a poker game....so the worldwide hit show is taking a new direction. ;) iPhone capture.
I can honestly say hand on heart that I never ever saw any sky like this in all my life...
I was on holiday with my young grandson and his cousin and only had my iphone camera on me as I devoted my time to the boys. Well I captured the moment.....
A shelf cloud is a long wedge shape cloud that forms on the leading edge of a squall line or multi-cluster storm system. They often stretch for miles across the sky and may have finger (non rotating) like clouds reaching toward the ground. Shelf clouds form as cold air within the storm rushes out lifting warm moist air ahead of the storm. As that warm air lifts it condenses and a shelf cloud forms. What you will experience as a shelf cloud moves towards you is first heavy winds and then rain and hail. The main threat with a shelf cloud is severe damaging winds.
I had the middle too taken facing the sea but on reflection decided to post what appeared the most dramatic..This is the far right hand end of the Shelf Cloud and the middle bit I shot took a stitched pan of two horizontal shots so you hopefully can imagine what the whole thing looked like....
Lame. I know. Can't help myself. :-)
The original shot is in the comments section...still on the "lame side" though.

A picture of a building drawn on the wall of that very same building so you won't get confused if this is a building you are looking for.

Between bench Mondays, fence Fridays and bokeh Wednesdays, I never seem to get it right. I think I am on target today...unless it is fence Mondays and bench Fridays...grrrr!

I spent 30 long boring minutes stuck in traffic this morning on my way to work, which is not very common, but still highly annoying. At least I had a chance to test my iPhone photo applications...you can see few more shots below the fold.
Another food line from Friday. Our street is still completely covered with ice and my car is stuck. Good thing power didn't go out this time so I can work from home and hopefully the ice will melt today. Taken and edited with an iPhone.
This is an evil rail all gas stations in US put right next to the pump - when you open your car door, it is almost guaranteed you'll slam it into this rail...See the marks? Very exiting every time. If someone knows what is the purpose of this thing, please tell. Taken and edited with an iPhone.

My favourite light in the world at this point in time is these spots on my wall in the early morning. ✨
This was a capture I took of the back of my camera with my iPhone. Sent it then to my girlfriend and said get down here. Northern lights and the comet.
But this is what happens when you always have camera handy. Just try it, you'll see.

moments unfolding in the warming sun
deep-rooted in my heart
the day a light September wind and the warming sun awakened in me a sense of anticipation for the upcoming fall season

Right now it is hard to believe that spring is not that far away - cold, and rainy, and it may snow again tonight. Grrrr...
