First shot taken on the iPhone 8 Plus paired with the Zeiss ExoLens Pro Wide Angle using a new app called Halide RAW Manual Camera, Manfrotto Tripod, Shoulderpod S1, then finally criminally battered and cropped in Snapseed on iPhone.

One section of an ‘L’ shaped row of stables that’s part of a remote farmhouse we stayed at near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. Apparently it was owned by a criminal acquaintance of the Kray Twins and they were visitors during the 1960’s.....I bet plenty of activity went on in and around the numerous buildings. I got up early this morning so I could spend some time taking a few shots......another interesting fact is that the vast cellar under the main farmhouse has been sealed with concrete....the mind boggles.....

For those who don’t know who the Kray Twins were here’s a link...:-

Bathe yourself in the ocean of matter; plunge into it where it is deepest and most violent; struggle in its currents and drink of its waters.

-Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, The Heart of Matter

“Everything that happens is adorable”

-Pierre Teilhard de Chardin,

Letters from a Traveler. Translated by Bernard Wall. New York and Evanston: Harper & Row, 1962.

...his moments of anguish seemed to be the necessary complement to his moments of ecstasy—the agony in the garden that prepared him to be swooped away, like Elijah, to the heights of contemplation and into the arms of God...

-Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, letters (Jeanne Mortier, Lettre à Pierre Leroy, October 9, 1968, unpublished, Georgetown University Library, Washington, DC, 1. Translation by Mary Helen Kashuba, SSJ)

I draw prayer round me like a dark protective wall, withdraw inside it as one might into a convent cell … I can imagine times to come when I shall stay on my knees for days on end waiting until the protective walls are strong enough to prevent my going to pieces altogether, my being lost and utterly devastated.

-Etty: The Letters and Diaries of Etty Hillesum 1941–1943, Complete and Unabridged, Klaas A. D. Smelik (ed.), Arnold J. Pomerans (trans.) (Eerdmans Publishing Company; Novalis, 2002), p. 489

Saw this van on the coast this morning, just after dawn. Camper vans can be so personal to the owner(s), They ooze character. Slapton Sands, Devon, UK.

I had a chat with the guy (Paul) who owns it...he’s had it since 1977, it’s on its 4th engine.
