Found southwest of Sandborn, Indiana, just off of SR-67. Totally love the faded "MAIL POUCH" advertisement on the barn. A classic American image.

One of my favorite shots from the day. This was an accident as I took a back road, saw this, stopped my car on the side of the road with the flashers on and captured this. Located north of Worthington, Indiana.

Donna just downloaded Photosynth, a free app, to her iPhone 4. While she was taking a shower yesterday I noticed it and opened it up. It was surprisingly easy to use.... and I could have made a full 360º pano- rama and shot up to the apex and down to the bottom of the shot, creating a sphere! The app works on iPhones, iPads and other devices. But it doesn't work with Mac computers now. It's from Microsoft, by the way: www.photosynth.com
Donna and I have dined here twice in just over a week. Vespucci's serves up the best Italian cuisine imaginable. We discovered Vespucci's in an article in Cobb Life Magazine and drove way out Canton Road to give it a try. Worth every single mile. The restaurant is located just before Jamerson Road on the west side of the highway. There is a Rite-Aid Drugstore just north of Vespucci's at that corner. I've geotagged the location on my Flickr map.
Everything on the menu is made in house. That includes all the salad dressings and sauces, the bread, the fresh pizza dough and the desserts. The proprietor, Ray Atlaschi, is most cordial. The service is excellent as well. Vespucci's features a full bar. Our rating ★★★★★.

Actually, I can't swear to its age. It looks old, but that can be faked.
As a child, I remember many birthday parties at the Waipahu McDonald's. It's been since turned into a car dealership, but the park remains as a reminder of days gone by,,,
It's always a bit daunting when you're presented with a new, unused, Moleskine.
My 2010 Moleskine was filled to the brim with text. This one is virginal apart from the 2011 tattoo on its bottom.

Everything here was taken on the iPhone 4 and edited on the iPhone 4 also. I used about 4 different apps to get certain filters and effects for my images; I don't use all four for one image, but I do combine some. Once they are finished, I upload them to Instagram. An app I'm very much addicted too.
I put this up to showcase what someone is capable of doing on the iPhone with some simple tools. You don't have to have the most expensive equipment to create something special. Just the passion to do it.
Taken 4/30/11: This was my first time ever in the Oahu Urban Garden Center. Over the years as I was driving home on the freeway, I would see the garden and rainbow down below and wonder how to get into it. Finally, I happened across it after buying some paint at Home Depot sort of by chance. The gate was open, so I went in. Turns out they are closed on Saturdays but the gate was open due to a meeting being held. The man who told me this info was pretty nice about it. Gardens are special places.

76/365 - Taken on 3/17/11, St. Patricks Day. Filling up gas at Costco in Waikele, I use the cheapest grade (87) of gas, and it's $3.84/gal. I've been thinking a lot about the #Fukushima50 at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant, and am thankful people like them exist. Such heroes! I pray they can succeed in their mission. Ganbatte!
in the small yard/garden common area of the condo I'm moving into this year. There were three day geckos, but they were very shy. I hope to get a better photo of one in the future.

Tha Manoa Market Place McDonald's hasn't been converted into a McCafe location yet. How long will they hold out? I personally dislike the new beige and brown image being given to McDonalds restaurants across the state. Taken on a cloudy, rainy day,
One thing I noticed along the way, was the amount of fallen trees. They didn't obstruct the path. Perhaps they are moved off to the side, but this one was kinda neat since it rested above the trail.

Taken on 3/3/11 at my desk. All you can see is the interior of my Pawnee Today mug (which is yellow) and the orange pekoe tea bag, and orange orange pekoe at the bottom as it diffuses from the bag. The exterior of the mug is white, and blended into the reflection of the sunlight radiating off my desk at work. I was surprised at how it looked through the lens of the iphone 4. (no special effects applied to this pic) It kinda made my afternoon. It reminded me of that Golden Girls episode where Blanche doesn't get any sleep because she's writing, and starts acting a little loopy and finds a ziploc full of egg yolks, and thinks she's looking at, "little balls of sunshine in a bag."
I felt like I had a cup of sunshine on my desk looking up at me.

Donna and I hit "The Rack" around midday yesterday. She has a gift certificate and needed some shoes and slacks. I spotted these "disco" shoes and borrowed Donna's iPhone 4 to make a few photos. I used the flash and then really worked the photo in CameraBag2 on my iPad.
Taken on 1/11/11 at the new Makitti restaurant that opened in Waikiki last year. It is a teaming of sorts with a Hello Kitty theme. It's a Japanese food buffet, also featuring a sweets dessert buffet. It costs money, but you have the opportunity to have your picture taken with Hello Kitty out by the gazebo. This little girl was so excited.
Donna snapped this photo in very, very low light with her iPhone 4 camera. I improved it in iPhoto. We had dinner and a drink at a very nice pub just a block from the LaGrange Art Museum where we had gone for the opening of the LaGrange National XXVII.
I liked the interior design in Yotteko-Ya, a ramen shop located in McCully Shopping Center. The lanterns were pretty neat, and I've been fascinated with red interiors lately.
Seen yesterday in Don Quijote supermarket in the case where they keep the expensive alcohol. On sale for $33.79, regular price $99.99!

My niece's rubber duckie has two metal sensors on the bottom of it. When the circuit is closed it flashes different colored lights. I walked into the bathroom one night and it was set on the side of the tub, still glowing since the sensors were still wet.The duck is pink, the bathroom lights are off.

The fog was well entrenched when I pulled the drapes back this morning, thick and opaque. As daylight showed her face, the cloud slowly lifted revealing the treetops. She still had her grip on the beauty of the moment. The clouds are now back in the sky.
