The Welwyn Viaduct, also called Digswell Viaduct, carries the East Coast Line Railway over the River Mimram. Designed by William Cubbit, it was originally opened by Queen Victoria, 6 August 1850 who was said to be so frightened of the height she refused to travel across the viaduct.
The viaduct is around 1,560ft (475m) long and comprises forty arches of 30ft (9.1m) span, and is 100ft (30m) high.

Edge waves travel along the west coast due to the shallow shelving beach and rips pulling water sideways and outwards. They don't have the power to reflect back out into the ocean. Always a place of great mood and beauty, but turn your back to the waves at your peril.
I'm happy with how the sunset has vapourised into the horizon in this shot and how a little bit of green lens flare floats in the foreground.

Woke up to some thick fog on Saturday morning. Sadie and I loaded up a couple of cameras and chased the fog for a good hour and a half. This was as we were heading out down our road.

Wow wow wow! Still cannot believe Sadie and I actually got to see this last night. Jake chose to stay home. We hit two spots close to the house and these were my favorite shots of the night from the second location. I really need to try on my camera but I don’t mind making these kinds of memories on a mobile phone either. I do have one special image that I’ll turn into a Polaroid with the Lab so fingers crossed it turns out good. Hopefully they show up again tonight!
