I'm pretty excited for the new iPad (aka the iPad 3) with its retina display. It seems a great venue for displaying the photos we shoot these days with high-resolution DSLRs.

I've prepared a few photos that I plan to use as backdrops on the new iPad. They're cropped to 2048x2048, to allow for use in both portrait and landscape orientation. I'm uploading them to share with anyone else who might want them. Feel free to download the original size.

Pentax Q - 02 lens

So last night I had gone to bed at a reasonable time for the first day in yonks with the intention of going to sleep, which I thoroughly needed.

Instead Adobe drop an update on one of my favourite art apps (Adobe Ideas) and all of a sudden I've been drawing for two hours, first on iPhone and then on my trusty iPad 3. This is the result of the iPad painting session: Marmite Man (well, was the first subject that came to tired and shattered mind...) painted with the Sensu Brush, which I like a lot. Prefer it to the Nomad....? Possibly not, I like the shape but prefer the Nomad short hair length. That said it's a corking stylus and I can imagine many would fall in love with it as an input device...
