Il tempo non esiste. Esistono cose che occupano uno spazio e si muovono, cambiano, si trasformano e trasformano le altre cose. E dentro questo spazio è imprigionato un meccanismo che chiamiamo tempo. Tutto quello che vediamo, facciamo, percepiamo, segue apparentemente lo stesso ritmo. Ma l'unica cosa al mondo che non cambia mai velocità, l'unico oggetto che è davvero incastrato dentro al tempo e ne segue il ritmo, quella cosa sono gli orologi. Tutto il resto, uomini, animali, piante, pietre, acqua, montagne, aria, luce,... Tutto il resto segue il proprio ritmo. È il nostro occhio ad uniformare tutto. Se potessimo essere pietra, o acqua, o terra per un solo istante, in quell'istante conosceremmo l'eternità di un altro ritmo, di un'altra velocità, di un altro tempo. E probabilmente vedremmo uomini e cose muoversi veloci come in un time-lapse.

Time doesn't exist. There are things that occupy space and they move, change, transform themselves and other things. And inside this space is imprisoned a mechanism which we call time. Everything we see, we perceive, apparently follows the same rhythm. But the only thing in the world that never changes speed, the only object that is really stuck inside the time and follows its rhythm, that thing are watches. Everything else, men, animals, plants, rocks, water, mountains, air, light,... Everything else follows its own rhythm. It's our eye that conforms everything. If we could be stone, or water, or land for one moment, that instant we would know the eternity of another rhythm, of another speed, of another time. And probably we would see men and things move as fast as in a time-lapse.
