St. Sebald Church Nuremberg
An extremely valuable inventory of pre-Reformation art has been preserved in St. Sebald.
The roof and vault were badly damaged in the Second World War and were restored. The very important late Gothic furnishings were largely preserved through storage.
DE:

Lady Sparkle in the Cat Country "pantry" I'd just been shopping and hadn't gotten to putting up the rest of the cat food, etc when she jumped up there!

Thanks very much to Marta for interviewing me for her wonderful new blog.
Marta not only got me to examine what I love about photography, but also to name my inspirations. The named certainly don't represent a complete list, as so many of you here on flickr remain my largest inspirations day to day.
Yes. Really.
Heyyy what a nice gift from Hucci from August 2010, just opened today! My inventory is in sad shape lol and it's not getting any better by taking piccies instead. I actually got this skybox around the same time as a DSN giftie. These GoS boots are part of the fatpack that I picked up for HALF-PRICE at the Truth District sale, over tho as of yesterday along with my Truth Andrea hair. First hair with hairbase that's looked good on me. Leave it to Truth to do it right. The streetlamp with poses I picked up at LISP for 10L at the 10L Garden where I went NUTS cuz a whole bunch of new items were added. Pandora Popstar is so nice to do this & it just makes me want to spend lindens on her regular stuff too. I'm listing this stuff out but not sure what's still purchasable.
Skin - the body co. Orchid (Emma Gilmour)
Hair - Truth Andrea (Truth Hawks)
Dress - Hucci Start Your Engine - Sorbet (gift) (Eboni Khan)
Boots - GoS Curvaceous (Gospel Voom)
Necklace - Magic Nook Peace Necklace (the Dressing Room, searchable)
Skybox - 41-prim curved shiny futurehome (DSN gift) (Skell Dagger)
Streetlamp - LISP Streetlamp with Poses (Pandora Popstar)

Image imagined in chatGPT and finished with Topaz Studio and Lightroom Classic.
This should never have worked. I first loaded the 8x10 sheet film in the holder backwards-base side out/emulsion side in. I have never done that before. Exposed film. Realized film was backwards. Put it in developer tray anyway. Then for reasons I could not explain I turned on the light. Left it on for about 10 seconds before I realized that was not recommended for a sheet of film in a tray of developer. Turned light off. Finished developing film anyway.
Film came out.
A little solarized but it's quite a printable neg.
I have no explanation.
I think the photo-gods like me.
This was a lot of my Sunday in #SecondLife. Trying as much as I can to get my inventory under control!

Miami is a seaport city at the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Florida and its Atlantic coast. As the seat of Miami-Dade County, the municipality is the principal, central, and the most populous city of the Miami metropolitan area and part of the second-most populous metropolis in the southeastern United States.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Miami's metro area is the eighth-most populous and fourth-largest urban area in the U.S., with a population of around 5.5 million.
Miami is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade. In 2012, Miami was classified as an Alpha−World City in the World Cities Study Group's inventory. In 2010, Miami ranked seventh in the United States in terms of finance, commerce, culture, entertainment, fashion, education, and other sectors. It ranked 33rd among global cities. In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Miami "America's Cleanest City", for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets, and citywide recycling programs.
According to a 2009 UBS study of 73 world cities, Miami was ranked as the richest city in the United States, and the world's fifth-richest city in terms of purchasing power. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and is the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.
Miami has the third tallest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises. Downtown Miami is home to the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, and many large national and international companies. The Civic Center is a major center for hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries.
For more than two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the "Cruise Capital of the World", has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world. It accommodates some of the world's largest cruise ships and operations and is the busiest port in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.
Metropolitan Miami is the major tourism hub in the American South, number two in the U.S. after New York City and number 13 in the world, including the popular destination of Miami Beach.

The photo shows a portion of the caterpillar inventory in a temporary container while I was doing maintenance work on their habitat. At this size (most are near mature size), the caterpillars eat a large amount of milkweed and produce a large amount of waste, so daily cleaning of their habitat, and replenishing their milkweed plants, is required.
Not everyone on Deep Space Outpost Arcturus as the glamorous jobs of exploring the galaxy, or piloting awesome starfighters. But these people are the lifeblood of the daily operations of the station. Without them, the station could not run. Here we simply have a crewman doing an inventory check on some containers of yaridium making sure the latest shipment from the cargo freighter Octania were correct before they’re put into storage.

Don begins the slow process of moving some of his existing inventory from his former warehouse to his new store front. He couldn't have asked for better weather.
Looks are deceiving. It's actually one of the coldest days we've had all winter. Fortunately, my sunporch allows the sun in and most of the cold out.

A new year is usually a good time to take stock of what you have, and consider where you want to go.
2025 did not see me publish many models. Most of what I have in progress has stayed that way because of the rest of life. Often, it's easy for me to forget that this is a hobby.
It's also a good time to reorganize. This photo shows all of my "older" (pre-2019 or pre BC&G 13) work, most of which have not been pulled from storage in a long time. I've also decided it may be a good idea to retire a small handful of newer items.
It's kind of a hard decision to make, because I'm no less proud of the work, but as the collection grows in number and sharpens focus in fewer directions, it's no longer practical for me to bring everything to shows or displays. Models get left in boxes the entire time - I can't use everything every time.
Part of this is the result of that sharpened focus. The farther I get into the hobby, the longer it can often take to produce new work, because I continue to raise my own standards. Development times and build times increase, and the result is the looming thought that I probably can't "do everything."
There is a positive side: the sharpened focus.
More recently, the models constructed have been built with greater purpose and contribute to a more unified goal (or set of goals) in a greater way. I wish I could do everything, or at least move faster through it, but practical limitations due to this only being a hobby, and sometimes burnout, are very real.
All of this to say - I'm certainly still enjoying this hobby. It comes in waves like everything else, but it's comforting to know that it'll always be there for me to return to during the low periods. There's still a lot I'd like to do. Who knows, maybe I'll even move track off the floor some day.
Wishing you a happy 2026. Thanks for reading.

I have a very very messy inventory. I am not going to lie-it's BRUTAL. Today I started cleaning it to get ready for the winter season and I came up with some TREASURES! The first thing I found was a gorgeous hair by Entwined called "Piper". I had a whole fatpack just waiting for me to open it and boy was I pleased. I chose the "roots" hud and never looked back. I think it was an event gift. HOW COOL!!
The next goodie was a set of beautiful rosegold necklaces from ///BENJAMINZ//. It has some vaguely religious iconography theme going on..I got it at my favorite event TMD.
My top is Dead Dollz from last weeks 50LFriday, and it has a hud with two types of bras or NO bra. *PRO TIP*: Never-ever pass up a 50LF from Dead Dollz.
These shorts were from the Epiphany event. They are a sweet gacha prize from Poppy called "Marlena". The best part of these shorts are the tuxedo stripe detailing on the side and the very delicate crepe de chine texture is the best I have seen in SL. Makes me feel like a magician's assistant and I love it.
Lastly, I scored these enchanting boots by Pure Poison at a past Colabor88. They are a fatpack with a hud, and there are brass knuckles on the heels for no other reason but because why the hell not!
