She most definitely is a intrepid explorer.
She makes more noise to go outside than the dogs do. At night she's not allowed to go out because of the coyotes and you should hear how she gives us an ear full!

It still amazes me how brave birds must be to come visit while some human stands nearby and points a camera at them.
The Dodge Intrepid was a full-sized sedan built from 1992-2004, until it was replaced by the sportier, more capable Charger. Although the Charger is a better machine overall, I do have a soft-spot in my heart for the second-generation Intrepid in particular (the first-generation model seen here ceased production in 1997), which I thought was a good looking car.
I had a great day shooting yesterday. My new cambo 6x9 roll film back arrived to use with my 4x5 Intrepid camera :) ..My plan is to use colour roll film and 4x5 B&W sheet film as colour 4x5 sheet film is crazy expensive.
I persuaded model Shane to meet me in Birmingham and I took along my 4x5 camera and new 6x9 back (plus other backs and cameras),

Super Happy! :) Can wait to use the 6x9 back for my usual shoots now.. and I might have to shoot more Ektar from these results / skin tones. Pleased.

I took this shot on Saturday to finish my roll of film after my model shoot in Digbeth. The afternoon sun came out and lit up the artwork just as I was composing the shot. If you follow me you'll know i'm not usually a building person but something about big 4x5 cameras, I just wanted to shoot detailed scenes as much as simple portraits.
I had the tripod fully extended so it was a bit hard to focus on tip toes but it came out OK. (I was trying to clear the parked cars and get a clear shot of the artwork).

68002 'Intrepid' heads Motherwell TMD-Edinburgh ECS (for evening Fife Circle workings) past a location known as 'the pony paddock' between Fauldouse and Breich. 18th August 2018. Another good location not far from home since lost to electrification.

Sorry another photo with Aneta, this time from maybe our 3rd shoot together back in the spring. It was some of the first 4x5 sheet film shot in the new 4x5 Intrepid camera but I only just developed the film

I need to get back to shooting some 4x5, I was just getting really into it and got a few new lenses then triathlon training season started and that really impacts my time/ photography. (Lots of blogging to be done this autumn /winter! I have already started to make some changes to try to make it more user friendly).

Looking towards the city from Centre Island, Toronto Island Park. The city's inner harbour was frozen.
Got lucky getting Intrepid coming back into the harbour at Buckie in decent light for the time of year.
USS Intrepid in NYC. It's near my work, so I figured I might as well. I'm sure there's already a million shots of it.
Cygnus Cyclone Intrepid has come over from Buckie this week to get painted below the waterline ahead of the new season.

ODC, June 19, 2023; HOLE(S). Holes on the front grill of a car, there's also a hole for the front facing camera. Had fun playing around with the Intrepid 4x5 after washing the cars. We spent the weekend in Blacksburg and the front of the car was covered in bugs. Power washers are amazing.

Test run with an Intrepid 4x5 field camera. Finally got a good development run on panchromatic sheet film using agitation in a Patterson tank. Second time shooting 4x5 and the negatives are just beautiful.

Launched in 1943, the former aircraft carrier USS Intrepid fought in World War II, surviving five kamikaze attacks and one torpedo strike. The ship later served in the Cold War and the Vietnam War. Intrepid also served as a NASA recovery vessel in the 1960s. It was decommissioned in 1974, and today is berthed on the Hudson River as the centerpiece of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
