"We try to grab pieces of our lives as they speed past us. Photographs freeze those pieces and help us remember how we were. We don't know these lost people but if you look around, you'll find someone just like them."
Gene McSweeney
In 2005 Swiss have proposed Universal Metric Time at the United Nations. UMT will be same all around the planet based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) but in accordance to metric standard day is divided into 100 hours and the hour into 100 minutes and so on. The true benefit of UMT will be in international communication as we all , will be operation on the same clock. Canada and Switzerland are one of the first adopters of the standard. For the next year we will be using both types of time. It's expected that airlines will switch to UMT very soon as well. Time zones will not longer apply ā 45 o'clock - will be exactly the same moment all around the planet. Personally I think that is a fantastic idea that will be bringing all nations closer.

This picture was taken by my friend al, but with my camera one year ago in Qinghai province in the west of China. At first I even thought I had taken it, but could not remember the moment.
I always loved it and today I dedicate it to her and to all women working for the betterment of the world everywhere...

"Where do I put the books?
There's so many I could read
But they all are filled with lies.
Where do I put all the lies
There's so many I could say
But it seems they're in the books...
I have faith that you're out there -
Living high up in the vast
Somewhere in eternity.
And you're never gonna leave
[...]
I looked up and I saw the moon
Is it the same one that betrayed you?
I looked up and I saw my place
I looked in and I felt no hate
Where do I put the love?"

She was nearly in the house and something started feeling familar. She felt good. Had she really left some of her fears, her stains outside of those gates? Buried in the snow?
She knew that there was still a lot of work waiting for her. But could it be she wasn't alone anylonger?

"I see rolling hills -
Love has arrived.
I should go outside...
[...]
We're going where it never rains -
into another place."

This place was clean, clear and bright - she would have to become like that, too. But how do you do that with stains on your soul?
"Well", she thought full with conviction "With time...and passion."

It's been the most awesome summer so far...
Man... I haven't had this much fun in gahd knows how long.
I'm feeling free again.
I'm feeling like myself again.
It feels really good to be on the right path.
The girls'll be on a plane to Portland and I've got the better part of a month to myself!
I gotta get a backpacking trip in and I'll be doing a lot of street shooting too.
The sunshine's been great for shooting the faces I see on the street...
But the sunglasses... they've been a problem... it seems like everyone's wearing them.
I hope you're enjoying your summer too... exploring... diggin' a little 'summer love' and feelin' like everything's alright.
