Your face is marked with lines of life, put there by love and laughter, suffering and tears. It's beautiful.
~ Lynsay Sands
This is the second in my series of tulips in the last stage of life, each one using a different lens.
Come on? Turn on the ride.
Well it seemed Cash was very reluctant to turn it on. Gerrie seemed fearless though and looking forward to some fun.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
Looking Close On Friday
Years ago people thought sweating eggs may cause a bacteria threat. This theory was debunked because an egg has a chemical compound that naturally occurs in the egg's inner membrane to protect it from bacteria. Good to know!
Macro Mondays ...... Theme Found In The Kitchen
Part of the small gas hob on a black enamel range, the blue flame and bokeh surround.
Sprouts from common garlic (Allium sativum, Amaryllidaceae) reach up toward the sky as they emerge from a clove in the kitchen.
Here, the sprouts have been photographed under artificial light in front of an arrangement of glass discs, which produce the soft bubbly bokeh.

Day 18/365:
I'd like to say I made this but my husband enjoys making bread so this is his offering for the day. Since I had no other inspiration today I took this shot with my phone.

Looking Close On Friday
I rarely indulge in sweets but when I do I like these. They are dairy free and sweetened with Coconut Palm Sugar.
Looking Close On Friday-Words On Glass
I actually found this glass at a park near where I lived in Albuquerque.
This beverage is not for me but it is pretty to make. Unless you are a fan of licorice and crazy dreams then it's probably not for you either. In this image the Green Fairy is about to be called by adding the cold water to the glass that already has Absinthe and a sugar cube. As the cold water mixes with the alcohol, the Fairy begins to dance. Perhaps one of these days I will video this action but there are several youtube videos available for those that want to see the action now.
When the Fairy completes her dance, the beverage is ready to be consumed. If you are seeing Green Fairies prior to sipping this beverage, imagine what you will see after :)
Recipe: 1.5 oz Absinthe
1 sugar cube
Cold water
Absinthe has an interesting history and is well described by Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absinthe
.
I hope your have a wonderful week ahead, happy snapping.
another accident and I don't have a clue. the film jammed after one click. and I snapped another couple of times and had to pull the film out

'Roid Week Autumn 2018, Day 2.1
It may not be the most appropriate to choose a woolly hat in May but here it is - a mini-hat egg warmer placed in a nest of muffin cases. Here is how the mini-hat looks like. :) For Macro Mondays group - the Kitchen.
