VARPALOTA TRAINING AREA, Hungary - Saker Falcon is a multinational training exercise involving roughly 200 Soldiers from U.S. Army Europe's 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, two Dutch Air Assault battalions, and Hungarian military forces. The objectives of the training include enhancing joint combined interoperability with allied and partner nations and preparing participants to operate in a joint, multinational, integrated environment with support from Hungarian governmental agencies. The African Partnership Flight visit to the Facility is part of a U.S. Air Forces in Europe and U.S. Air Forces Africa program, which includes military representatives from Angola, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia that emphasized increased maintenance and logistics knowledge and procedures. The program was created to conduct regional military to military events with African air forces to build aviation capacity, enhance regional cooperation and increase interoperability. Saber Strike 2013 is a U.S. Army Europe-led, multinational, tactical field training and command post exercise occurring in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia June 3-14 that involves more than 2,000 personnel from 14 different countries.
