La felicità è fatta di piccole cose.
Perché la felicità è così.
Ti piove addosso.
Piccoli eppure grandi lampi.
...............................................I came for happiness, here are my palms…
God, have mercy, share a little…
It is very important for people to wake up thinking,
That hope is alive, that you can't give up…
You have a crowded queue for happiness,
But there are still many who will be afraid.
Join this queue…
But they will also need happiness....
I will give happiness to passersby bit by bit…
Close and not so close, redheads and blondes,
poor and rich, locksmiths, poets…
There are simply no unworthy people in the world…After all, when you meet kind smiles,
You forget about your problems right away…
And when someone warms up with their soul,
This means that happiness does happen…
We need to look around, we need to take a closer look…
Maybe, fortunately, there is a door hidden in someone's heart…
Just don't be afraid to knock on this door.…
Before love, it is better not to resist…
And people were crowding in, taking up space…
Someone wants money, someone wants to become a bride…
For someone, happiness is sharing gossip…
The queue is big… All the faces flash by…
I came for happiness, here are my palms…
I see it's empty… The birds pecked at the crumbs…
But with a wise smile, God answered me,
That the smile of loved ones is happiness too…
20th March 2017:
International Day of Happiness.
Having spent most of the earlier part of the morning working on my last minute entry to the Macro Mondays Group theme I decided to use an out-take for today's photo.
When I'd taken it; although I liked it, it didn't look like a macro shot. Or not according to the 'rules' within the group.
Also, it feels colder today than it did yesterday and I wasn't going to go further than the garden and that was just for some better light.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
Today it's a special day - the international day of happiness ! 🍀
Therefore I tried to make my own clover vignette to get the adequate bokeh and also the smurf changed its colour for today.
I wish you a wonderful weekend and HSoS 😃
...and a happy belated St. Patrick's Day 🍀
What better way to celebrate the International Day of Happiness™ than by lying in the grass barefoot near the beach with a good book to read and your faithful dog by your side?
Even the dog looks sublimely happy!...

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. On International Happiness Day I thought I would post this shot I captured on St Patrick's Day in the city. Dancing with his crutches and can of lager, enjoy!
I've always wanted to see and hear them sing, well I was very lucky yesterday. This is the Female Crossbill, very high up in the pine trees.
I hope this has uploaded, I've not been able to upload clips for a while now :( Flickr seems to have a problem with them.
I tried to upload some Siskins recently but it just keeps saying its uploading. Hopefully it will work again soon.
Monday morning! Don't you just love it? The morning commute and traffic. A time to stew. Rain. Lots of it. You dream of it in Ethiopia. So while I sit chuntering in a traffic-jam in the wet the friendly radio news presenter announces it is International Day of Happiness today, 20th March. Well, at least it made me laugh! I was going to take a selfie of me beaming with International Happiness but I just couldn't form my lips, cheeks and eyes into a happy face with another five days at work just around the corner, if I could ever make my way through the congestion. Whoever came up with the idea of International Happiness Day has a sense of humour. I'm going to be watching my colleagues, listening carefully to my customers on the phone, looking at other drivers and pedestrians to see exactly who has been affected by this marvellous concept. Grrrrrrrr!
Celebrating the First Day of Spring on the International Day of Happiness ~ Sometimes it's the simple things that make us happy !
The English translation if needed for the main text:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_language
The last part says it's also The International Day of Happiness and the 1st day of Spring.
The two books in the photo are grammar books and 'bibles' for learners and everyone else.
The French language has 14 tenses as does English, however unlike in British English where you need to use them all (or you should do)! The French on average use about 3 to 4/5 at the most. There is a lot being done at the moment to try and reintroduce those that are almost now lost in France. Other French speaking countries may in fact speak more correct French now than the French do.

Happy International day of Happiness!
Don't forget to have fun everyday and pass a smile along the way!
Either my confidence is going or my attitude towards candid shots is changing. When I walked into Brighton Station this morning I had 30 minutes to kill before catching my train. Time for a few candid shots or a stranger? But despite the abundance of people I felt uncomfortable with candid and not entirely confident with approaching strangers. There was one perfect stranger who was vibrantly dressed, waiting for a train and smiled at me........ but I wandered round in search of a suitable background for the portrait, before even asking her about the project! Then I heard the piano music and saw a smartly dressed, elderly gentleman playing.
Meet Dennis, born and bred in Brighton where he has spent all his life. That's 85 years in one town, or city as Brighton is now called. Dennis taught himself to play the piano as a child and has played in pubs and clubs across Brighton ever since. He said Brighton has changed unbelievable since he was a boy. Nobody has any time, life's rush, rush, rush. He lays the blame for lifestyles, violence etc on television. I had to agree. I pointed out to him that it was the International Day of Happiness today and he was making a lot of people happy as they paused to listen, watch and smile.
Thank you Dennis you certainly made me smile today ;-))
(I did take photos of Dennis looking at the camera and smiling but the ones with him looking down while playing the piano were much more natural).
