Happy International tiger day! A wild Bengal tiger taken in Ranthambhore National Park. This young tiger and two of its siblings were sitting in and next to the road. The neat thing was that we had this sighting all to ourselves thanks to our driver and guides.

Anyone know what year. It looks like a 47 or 48 to me.
A mother tigress and her cub walk away into the jungles of India. We saw this mama tiger and her three cubs one early morning. It was difficult getting of picture of them as they crossed the road and walked into the Indian jungle. We did see them again later that day and had the sighting all to ourselves :-).
PETER (Gives Benny a kiss on the cheek)
BENNY:
What are you doing....?
I have a toothache!
PETER:
I kiss the sore spot so it hurts less.
I also brought 1 chocolate heart because today is a special day and on special days you can eat something sweet. That's good for the teeth. More sweets are bad.
BENNY:
And what kind of special day is it today?
PETER:
International Kindness Day. Today I am extra nice to you Benny!
What do you want to eat?
What do you want to drink?
Shall I rub your paws with olive oil? That makes them soft.
I also want to massage your neck.
Want to have a blanket to keep warm?
Shall I wash your back?
I'm going now...
BENNY:
Peter....Peter....Listen to me. I love you very much and want to thank you for everything you want to do for me. But .... I'd rather be alone
PETER:
(Disappointed)
Oh..oh..oh..ok Benny

Therefore I placed a spoon on the Kindle Reader on my iPad and captured this Welsh novella , not that there are many Welsh Language Books available on Amazon.

The leopard (Panthera pardus) is one of the five extant species in the genus Panthera, a member of the Felidae. It occurs in a wide range in sub-Saharan Africa, in some parts of Western and Central Asia, southern Russia, and on the Indian subcontinent to Southeast and East Asia. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List because leopard populations are threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation, and are declining in large parts of the global range. Contemporary records suggest that the leopard occurs in only 25% of its historical global range. (Wikipedia)
Celebrating Cheetahs today on this #intlcheetahday. With only around 7000 remaining, the Cheetah population is struggling and listed as vulnerable by the IUCN. Human encroachment continues to shrink and fragment their native habitat. During my time in Ndutu I was encouraged that we found several thriving families. Cheetah mortality is high during the first year of its life and this cub was the sole survivor from what was likely a litter of three to five. Find out more about cheetahs and how you can help from the Cheetah Conservation Fund cheetah.org/.

Today....the 21th of January 2024 is International Hugging Day
PETER:
Oleg?
OLEG:
What is it Peter?
PETER:
Well....today is International Hugging Day and now I want to ask you if you want to hug me.
OLEG:
Of course I want to hug you...anytime....whenever you want.
PETER:
I know that Oleg, but I would like to be hugged like when I was a baby bear.
OLEG:
I don't know the difference of hugging between you now and when you were a baby.
PETER:
I'm going to show you that
(walking away to the attic)
A few minutes later...
PETER:
Oleg..Oleg!
I want to get hugged!
Oleg runs to the attic and sees Peter......
OLEG:
OMG...Peter...what are you doing in the pram?
PETER:
I told you...I want to be hugged like when I was a baby .
OLEG:
Yes..well then.....Come here little one
(Oleg hugs Peter)
PETER:
Thank you Oleg...I like this so much for a moment!
